This is located about a 10 minute walk from the city centre and worth the walk to see. It’s only a short detour if you are walking from the city centre to Titanic

It's a big fish, with lots of influential people on it. What else can you say really. I feel wiser and inspired after our visit here.

A lovely sculpture in an area of Belfast we found to be clean and quieter than others. Certainly worth a visit if you’re passing 🐟

Apparently it’s a thing now that you should get your photo taken with the Big Fish if you’re in Belfast. I love mosaic artwork and this is a great example of public art at its best. A huge mosaic sculpture of a fish, right next...More

If you’re in the Titanic Quarter, go see the Big Fish/Salmon of Knowledge. It’s indicative of the public art around Belfast (see also the Glass of Thrones series, nearby). Google it before you go to learn the story of Fintan mac Bóchra (or listen to...More

While we were walking along the wharf, we took the time to kiss the big fish for luck and prosperity. There are lots of art on the tiles making up the scales. It’s a simple but fun thing to do one evening of your vacation....More

The walk along the wharf shows a good history of belfast and how it started. The big fish is part of its rejuvenation project.
