this is an area that was known to locals in times gone by as the 'Half Bap'. It is now an artsy/pub/bar area that is great for a walk through and just taking time to admire all the wall murals of famous locals, the lovely little pub feel with the window flower boxes, and all the great great photos of... Great art work, try spotting the famous faces. Very buzzy, lots of places to eat and drink. Not quite Temple Bar but getting there.

We stayed in a hotel in this area and would definitely come back to it. A great place to soak up the atmosphere of this wonderful City - plenty of bars and restaurants to sample and beautiful buildings to see and comment on as you stroll around. We loved it.

This is where al the trendy folk go. A great range of restaurants; shopping close by and a decent cathedral, obviously. Good hotels also. Like so many places in Ireland, it does need good weather to really shine. The nearby Victoria centre is for shopping in the rain or the Titanic Experience is for something more interesting when the weather... More

When you come to the Cathedral Quarter you are sure to find great pubs, quirky restaurants, & lots of 'hip place' to visit. Everything is gathered in a couple of blocks so once you arrive (by cab usually) you can wander happily in an eclectic & friendly atmosphere until you find the perfect place to settle

NIce place to wander. Quirky old buidlingd, lanes and by-ways. A great place for somewhere to eat or drink. A lot of the bars sell industrial gassy lager and ale and the quality and proce of the food is variable. At night, a smashing place to be if you're not too bothered abotu what you're eating and drinking.

During a trip to Belfast myself and two friends found it exceedingly difficult to find a good selection of bars to sit in and relax while we experience the Northern Irish culture. Luckily for us we eventually discovered the Cathedral Quarter, which is an area surrounded by beautiful architecture and narrow streets with little hideaway bars and pubs in them.... More
