I love going to the QFT (Queens Film Theatre). It shows a good mix of genres, with a much nicer feel/atmosphere than usual chain cinemas. It is also the only licensed cinema in Northern Ireland so you can bring a drink in with you from the lovely cafe/bar area.

Hadn't been to QFT in many years but went last week for a showing of the classic 'Its a Wonderful Life' Very enjoyable experience in a great social venue. Super comfortable seats. Would recommend but I will say the bar prices are extortionate and the service poor.

QFT is a lovely intimate environment to view a movie. Both cinemas are perfect in size creating a feeling of comfort and intimacy. The theatre is in the heart of the university quarter so the audience is generally made up of people who enjoy thoughtful and sometimes challenging films. Box office hits are also shown but can be enjoyed without... More

Lovely setting, good bar and equally good movies. My favourite is 'it's a Wonderful Life' in the run up to Christmas. Just magic! Well worth booking for this year.

QFT is a super cinema with coffee and bar facilities. The movies are often not mainstream so it's great to find eg foreign movies, themed series of movies and quite often live streaming from London's West End. I have membership which is inexpensive but entitles me to a discounted entry fee. It also includes the occasional invite for coffee and... More

It's a bit of a hidden Tardis. Not what you would expect to find behind the terraced house fronts. What a great place though. Serious film goers with no nonsense of sweetie rustling, chatting and phones all over the place. Loved it and was completely absorbed in the film. Also enjoyed a nice cup of tea and cake.

My wife and I enjoy coming here. It's a traditional and intimate cinema with two screens and has really comfy seats!! Best thing is you can have a coffee or a beer or both!! I had a beer and my wife a coffee. Great alternative/international movies.

This is the best cinema in Belfast, sumptuous seating, great international films and you can have a drink or coffee before or after the show!

Great place to see really good films often with subtitles. Comfortable, and no rustling popcorn and coca cola people in the audience to distract you with guzzling and slurping!
