I have visited McHughs many times in the last 3 years. The managers and staff are fantastic and always make you feel welcome. Great live music and food is good quality and reasonably priced. Good selection of drinks. They did a great promotion for rugby World Cup last year with loyalty cards providing free drink and steak meal on final... More

We popped into McHughs because I needed I McPee. What a great find. The staff were really knowledgable about all the ales and spirits. I tried Jameson's Caskmate that was matured in stout barrels absolutely lovely. Belfast stout was a lighter alternative to Guinnes. Definitely with going their on purpose if you into your ales etc.

Spent an hour for a few drinks there recently it was very quiet and I enjoyed my pints although a bit expensive. The management need to check the downstairs disabled toilet it was a disgrace. I as a local was appalled I dread to think what the tourists must say. This very well known pub restaurant is in an area... More

I am less than usual in downtown Belfast and was pleasantly surprised to have time on my hands and be near this old well established hostelry and had their Atlantic Chowder with wheaten bread washed down with glorious Stout and finished with Belfast Cream Slice a delicacy I had not had before. Excellent service in a busy venue and delightful... More

300 years old pub within walkable distance of the Titanic exhibition. We were starving and not disappointed. Friendly and efficient service and a good choice for lunch. Most enjoyable. Well priced. Ate in the bar. There is a restaurant.

Came here for Sunday lunch. It's purported to be the oldest surviving building in Belfast. Building itself is interesting and obviously very old. On a Sunday afternoon Food is simple and what you would like out of a carvery decent meat cuts, decent choice of veg. Nothing special but good enough for a typical Sunday lunch and doesn't break the... More

Great old pub with loads of character both in the brickwork and its eclectic clientele. Landlady seemed to know everyone so a locals bar but tourist seemed very welcome too. Live music later in the evening was good and added to the atmosphere. Highly recommend for late afternoon / early evening (we didn't stay later so can't comment)
