Great atmosphere

Great bar! Lively on Friday night. Hard to get a table. Outside area for smoking that has heaters. So much to look at.

I don't think there is one spot on the walls inside this wonderful pub that is not covered with memorabilia. The servers, bar keepers are lots of fun and full of enthusiasm. This is a great experience sitting with locals. Just a few steps away from this pub is an exhibit of murals painted within a courtyard and it is... More

was in here a few times over the weekend, brilliant bar with fabulous atmosphere, didn't realise there was an upstairs bar to it, until the Saturday night when we went in and were told about it, had 2 fellas on singing who were really good, everybody enjoying themselves, good time had by all :))

The Duke of York is located in Belfast's Cathedral Quarter, a short walk from the city center. The pub itself has seating inside and out, and gets very busy! Good atmosphere with friendly staff and authentically-decorated with lots of bar / Northern Ireland memorabilia. This is a great pub for a night out in Belfast, also. lots of quality bars... More

Recommended to visit here by Tom a delightful cab driver and it proved to be well worth a visit. Absolutely fabulous atmospheric treasure of a place. Massive whiskey selection, with bar staff have an in-depth knowledge and can make recommendations based on your personal taste. Great atmosphere, very welcoming. Loved it.

The Duke of York is one of Belfast's great 'classic' bars, all have their own character and most are worth a visit, but we find ourselves back at the Duke of York time and time again. Beautiful inside, both front and back bars offer classic bar furnishing, with brass top tables, wood, mirrors, distillery memorabilia, this is real charter, not... More

Duke of York is in the Cathedral Quarter, a must see if you're looking for some local night life. It was a crowded bar but seating was available. I'm not quite sure about the hours they are open as they didn't allow anyone in after 1230 but then started to kick people out shortly after.

This is a quite lange and very busy pub, popular with the locals. There is normally live music at least some days during the week. The pub also boasts Belfast's largest selection of single malt whiskys, you just need to ask for the meny. Very busy but with charm and atmosphere.

We loved, loved, loved this pub! Great people, good service, and fun atmosphere! Pub is plenty large and spills out to the courtyard, so there is lots of room compared to some of the other pubs around. Will definitely be back!
