The original Belfast City Centre Walking Tour. We provide tours for individuals, groups or private bookings. Our main tour is "Troubles Tour: Walls & Bridges" a detailed examination of the conflict covering politics, history, economics, civil rights, our industrial past but also our future. The aim of the tour is to provide you with the best overview and understanding of the City. The second tour we provide, "Hidden Belfast", is politics free and serves as a great introduction to Belfast. We receive continuous 5 star reviews because we consistently deliver quality experiences.

Walking tour with Steve Malone.

We were an extended family group of seven, a mixture of 60ish and 30ish adults. We did a Sunday afternoon walking tour with Steve Malone of Experience Belfast. It was absolutely superb. Knowledge of Belfast was mixed amongst our group but Steve pitched it so well that it worked extremely well for all of us. It was great to get a good overview of Belfast’s history as well as the of the Troubles. Steve dealt with the latter sensibly and sensitively. This has got to be the best way for anyone visiting Belfast to get an understanding of this fantastic city.

Amazing tour of Belfast

Arthur’s tour was really fun and informative. I recommend this to anyone interested in listening to the real stories of Belfast, how the city came about, it’s past and present. Arthur is also really fun, he even brings in his own music ✨

Thank you, the tour is sometimes very real and gritty but there is also humour. On the greyest day, the sun still shines.

More than just a walking tour

Arthur gave a group of eight of us an unforgettable experience as we toured Belfast whilst he blended his own musical past with that of Belfast alongside the darker back-story of the "troubles". Not only educational in adding to our admittedly scant understanding but also left us wanting to know more. Heartily recommend!

Thank you Steve, the tour is factually accurate but I do include parts of my own lived experience as a way in to the realities of what happened. On the tour, I do play a couple of songs, one of which I wrote.

Arthur the Great!

Arthur was amazing. This type of tour can (and should) only be conducted by someone who actually lived this experience, and Arthur did! His first hand account's are woven with historical facts, and brought to life with personal anecdotes, some funny and some incredibly tragic. Neither side of this conflict gets a pass, as Arthur makes sure that both sides receive their share of blame for the conflict that continues to this day. But in the end, he does bring us around to the fact that as long as HOPE has a chip, a chair, and chance, there will be peace in Northern Ireland, someday.

‘The Troubles’ Walking Tour

If you're on a trip to Belfast then this is an absolute must do! I genuinely can't recommend this tour highly enough!!! The 3+ hour walk around Belfast flew by, which was wholly down to Arthurs engaging manner, deep personal experience of the Troubles, the tragedy of the numerous story's he recounted, (thankfully balanced by the humour that interlaced his story-telling) and ultimately the enthusiasm and positivity he expressed towards the future of Northern Ireland and its people. Arthur is a born story-teller and the constant anecdotes, which reinforced his extensive local knowledge, made this a much more personal experience than I had expected.
I was accompanied by my 4 teenage kids who before the tour knew very little of the Troubles.
It's fair to say that it was an eye-opener for them, to the extent that its resulted in a number of meaningful dinner table discussions, La dramatic improvement on our usual Tictok distracted monosyllabic conversations !]

I can think of no higher compliment than my tour managed to take teenagers away from the internet! The tour is aimed at adults so there is an age guidance of around 14 as some parts of the tour are graphic.

Arthur’s tour of Belfast should not be missed. His experience and knowledge of Belfast is so important to understand the complexity and scope of the Troubles which is woven into the fabric of this place. With compassion, humor and honesty Arthur brings to life what happened and the continuing ripple that flows through Belfast and the island itself. One can begin to understand “blue eyed” soul, Irish blues , the anger of the punk movement and the deep connection with the Civil Rights movements in the U. S. And Middle East today. Begin your Irish trip here with Arthur in Belfast and the rest of the trip will be enriched tenfold!

This is one of the most interesting tours I've ever taken. You get a very detailed and personal history of the Troubles and much more from a master storyteller whose love for Belfast and the people in it shines through.
After spending time with Arthur you'll gain a real understanding of Belfast from someone who embodies its spirit: sometimes funny, sometimes dark, sometimes poignant but above all resilient and compassionate.

You forgot to say outstandingly good looking (if you regard baldy with glasses as good looking) but I really appreciate your kind words. The tour is human more than dry facts, it is hopefully an experience.

This tour was great - Arthur was brilliant, knowledgable and told the story in a captivating way. He made the walls & Belfast's / Irish history come to life. He shared his own personal experiences, as well as a song he wrote. He provided us with rare details and facts that would be hard to find in books. He also gave great recommendations at the end for other tours and good & drinks - I tried both - and they were great.

Fantastic tour

I went on the troubles walking tour today. It was a fantastic trip. Arthur, the tour guide, was very knowledgeable. Arthur was very engaging and brought the tour to life with his thorough knowledge, insights and witty remarks. I learnt a lot about Belfast's past and where it will hopefully go in the future.
