Winter is here but don’t let that stop you!
Do not miss the windows if you are a GoT fan! They took us 90 minutes and we did them first thing in the morning. There were no crowds and we had the walk to ourselves. We parked at The Titanic Experience and did the first couple of windows past the Titanic building, then backtracked all the way to the pedestrian bridge. Over the bridge to see the last one (Stark window). Google maps Glass of Thrones will show you the locations. Each one has a little plaque to tell you about them and if you take photos of both sides, you will notice the colours are more brilliant on one side due to the sun position.

    Beautiful glass!
I’m not a GOT fan and have never watched any of it 🙈 BUT these windows are just soooo beautiful. If you follow the trail on a sunny day, you will see that they have each been built in a perfect position for the sun to shine through. Each is unique to the GOT stories and the one at the end of the Titanic slip has a little throne you can sit on!! Worth a look!

A good walk with great art!
The walk that the windows take you on isn’t too long but also isn’t too short, as they’re all quite close together. The art on the stained glass windows was incredibly impressive, and I especially liked spotting the different references in each piece. I was annoyed that one of the windows had been removed and couldn’t find where it had been moved to, so was only able to get 5/6 of the windows.

    Stunning artwork
We were told about these stained-glass windows when we went to the Game of Thrones studio tour, so made sure we fitted the trail in on our final day in Belfast. It was well worth doing, the pieces are stunning in detail and represent many elements of the story. Despite it being a rather windy day we enjoyed the walk around the harbour and also discovered the big fish along the way. We had already been told that one of the windows had been removed due to damage, which was a shame as it would have been great to have seen them all - hopefully it will eventually be reinstalled.

Even if you are not a fan of GOT be careful while you walk in the area near the river. You can see these amazing windows, telling part of the story of this sitcom.
We did not book any specific tour and we just didn't find all of them because it was really freazing and we were tired of walking around.

If you travel there in another season, don't lose this opportunity!

I took a self directed tour of the GOT stained glass windows. There are six in all starting opposite City Hall and ending at Titanic Slipway. The sis windows show scenes from GOT and are definitely worth seeing. The last one even has a seat on which you can sit and pretend to be on the Iron Throne.

I'm a big GOT fan, so this was very high on my to-visit list. However, the Stark window is GONE! I mean...the Starks are the main one!!! :-(

I was in Blefastbfor a short period of time, but you can include these wonders in your tour easily! There are 6 glasses and if you type in your Google Maps "Glass Game of Thrones" it will show you the exact location. Be aware that lighting during night is not existing and you might pass them easily even during the day as they are just on some concrete basis. Best would be around 10am or after 3pm so that from some angles if light enough the photos come wonderful. On the last one (The Iron Throne) there is a little chair to sit and take a photo.
Wonderful idea to keep the memory of filming most of the GoT series there! Very nice pieces of art as well even if you are not a GoT fan!
At Local Authority: it is a shame (Shame! Shame!) that you did not install some solar lights to lit these beautiful glasses during evenings!

This trail is a must for anyone who is a fan of GOT. You can follow the trail from the city centre all the way to the Titanic quarter so if you are visiting the GOT experience or the Titanic exhibition it's a perfect way to make your way there. The skill & detail is awesome and it's cool to pick out all the little details of scenes and characters in each piece. Plus it's FREE!!!

Really appreciate the artistic installations. Absolutely no idea about Game of Thrones (never seen it and never will) but these are good as standalone works.

Roughly a 30 minute walk to see them all from start to finish, maybe slightly longer, 6 to find, all beautifully crafted and a nice touch if you are a fan of the show. Its a free activity and all outdoors, so can't fault it, and a great way to see some of Belfast Docks!
