Nice for a short walk if in the area.

Nice for a short walk on a sunny day and to see the swans. It has the potential to make more of it but the guy singing and the good weather provided a bit of atmosphere.

Waterworks Park Belfast, a must see for tourists and locals alike
May 2020
Located on the Antrim Road, North Belfast, half way between downtown Belfast and Belfast Castle, this pubic park, originally built as a reservoir to supply the city, now hosts a myriad of air-born wildlife, ranging from gees to ducks, seagulls, swans and the odd other types of birds that stop over during migration and features a small playground and soccer field where it edges Cavehill Road.

Built around two lakes, with paths surrounding and connecting both, enjoy 360 degree views of Belfast, taking in The Black Mountain to the west, Cave Hill and Napoloen's Nose to the north and the world famous bright yellow Harland and Wolff Cranes (where The Titanic was built) to the south.

Chat with the locals to get insights into the history of this beautiful place and surrounding area, and come away the richer for it.

Nice short walk

Took advantage of the first bit of decent weather we've got in Belfast this year so took my 1 year old out for a walk around the waterworks. It was busy enough with plenty of people out walking on the towpaths or feeding the ducks and swans. However it could do with a bit of a tidy as there was some litter about in the trees and on the grass etc. There's two play parks which are good for the young kids. It's not a long walk either, you would be able to do it in about 20 mins so a few laps minimum to get the step count up for the day is a must

Visited her for the first time the other week and it was really lovely. Lots of ducks and swans to see and a great view of the hills in the distance.

A great place to visit in Belfast for Nature lovers
Jun 2016 • Family
The Waterworks has a park and multi sports facility which is a great spot of natural beauty with two lakes at different levels and many aquatic birds. As you enter, you see green hills in the distance. Around the water bodies are walkways . Closeby is a multi sports facility,
