- Laura D3 contributionsAbsolutely loved our weekend stay Three cliffs bay. We recieved a really warm welcome on arrival by 2 lovely and very helpful members of staff. We were lucky enough to have managed to book a sea view pitch, which is usually hard to come by. The view, well it really is something you just have to experinece first hand to appreciate how amazing it is. The pitch sizes are generous as you aren't packed in like sardines like on some camps and every pitch comes with a picnic bench and firepit which was really handy. The facilities were spotless, and very private with having individual showers, toilets and wash basin in one. The site shop had everything you need and there is also the option to order food from a food van on site, which has a varied menu. Some great local pubs for a drink or a bite to eat, such as The Gower Inn and The King Arthur hotel, and so many scenic walks to explore. This site really is the best we've ever stayed on and has so much to offer. I would highly recommend staying here. We are already hopung to return for another weekend soon and tobget booked in for 2025. Happy camping.Visited June 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten June 19, 2024
- H0rseybirdCobham, United Kingdom53 contributionsWe parked in the NT car park which we were surprised has no facilities. There are no toilets. We had aimed to walk along the cliff top to Pobbles beach but didn't make it that far. The cliff top walk is relatively easy with great views but it is very steep down to the beach and very sandy so would have been difficult getting back up. I have recovered from injuries last year which meant I needed a walking stick but am not young enough or fit enough to make the beach - although many did. The more experienced walkers had their Nordic walking poles. I attach a photo of the path at the point we turned back, We could have detoured inland but the paths down were pure sand and would have been hard work ! When we got back to the car park we had lunch at the little cafe there which was very busy inside and out.Visited September 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten September 27, 2024
- reviewz6 contributionsThe three cliffs bay is a must visit if you are in the Swansea or Carmarthenshire area, the view is lovely, however on a windy or cold day it's best to avoid it. We had a lovely time, it's a lovely place to swim, go looking for crabs, or just to relax and enjoy the view. From the advertised parking areas the walk is anywhere from, 45 minutes to an hour. You do also have a walk though a small stream, but the walk is enjoyable, but walking shoes are needed as there is some rocky terrain and steep hills, it's sadly not very accessible for wheelchairs or people who struggle to walk long distances. However a lovely area overallVisited August 2024Traveled with familyWritten August 8, 2024
- Budd1eLondon, United Kingdom55 contributionsAmazing site.. immaculate - a lot of thought has gone into this place. We stayed on one of the sea view cliff top pitches with the most incredible panoramic views. Picnic table and fire pit on every pitch! Abundance of shower / contemporary toilet suites! Yep they have underfloor heating/ heated mirrors and touch sensor shower controls. The shop has everything you need and more! Nice coffee snug area and the pizzas are very good indeed! We had a car (that we tow) so explored the area. Recommend Rhosilli Worms Head, and the walks from the campsite are great. Really helpful and friendly staff! The yurts looked amazing too! Had a peak inside and they come with a gas bbq / bench etc. I can honestly say this is probably one of the best sites we have been to. Thank xVisited May 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten May 3, 2024
- FoodBoardEssex, United Kingdom95 contributionsCertainly worth visiting. It’s dog friendly year round, and depending on the tides you can walk for quite some way. We had hoped to get along to Oxwich but tide had started to come in and it rained, so couldn’t. It did mean that most people left so we pretty much had the whole beach to ourselves. Scenery is stunning, including the obvious three cliffs. We walked down from Pennard Castle (see my other review).Visited April 2024Traveled with familyWritten April 2, 2024

WOW! I know this is one of the most beautiful spots! But when you get a quote for my daughter,1 adult and 1 child for 10 days at an astonishing £906.49 That is more expensive than Thailand!!! What is going on in the UK? The another £360 for a train journey! Then the busses in Swansea are SOOOO EXPENSIVE! What the heck!
This is literally in a tent sleeping on the grass!!
How can anyone justify this!

Absolutely stunning place to visit!
You will need to walk to the location from the car park which can take 30mins, we parked in a local designated field which was reasonably priced.
The walk is initially through woods then in a valley along the river and dunes which opens up to the bay and sea. The beach is mainly pebble with some sandy spots and is quiet because of the location ( we went in the late afternoon)
You get a great view of the castle from the valley as you walk in. We were greeted by some beach cows 🐄
There are no amenities on the beach so take some water and a picnic with you if you are going for the day.
Definitely worth the walk! 💙

Highly recommend Three Cliffs Bay Holiday Park , we have spent the last week there.
It was my make or break trying to get the hubby into camping! We have been together 12 years and he has only ventured out once before with me.
Well what can I say, even with a bit of rain and some rather strong winds during the night, we have had the most fantastic time. Walks to the beach, crabbing, little ones 5th birthday, the girls made some camp friends who have now decided to be pen pals 😍
Ninja warrior and Pantasia zoo in swansea 30 mins drive were great for the whole family.
Shower blocks and on site shop fantastic. We stayed in the large pitch field, one field back from cliff edge just so I had piece of mind with the little ones running around.
I can happily say going with a site with nice facilities than my usual pitch in a field has successfully sold camping holidays to the hubby, and we have booked to come back next year, he is also already looking forward to a boat trip and rock climbing when we come back 😀

Just finished my second stay at Three Cliffs Bay holiday park. Returning for the best groomed fields around, facilities, amazing view and beach - as well as copious other activities to fill a family day close by. But the standout draw was the ‘nothings too much trouble’ customer service level.
Other holidaymakers must feel the same, because it was as busier than ever before!
On this visit we were ‘greeted’ by a working couple that were on the obnoxious side, confirmed later in our stay.
The shop is on the expensive side and lacking in food stock - arguably too filled with non-food items.
The toilet/shower block, whilst at a very high standard, we’re not cleaned nearly as often enough, I never visited them clean, the toilet doors did not close properly, so you need to take someone to guard them with you, and they were often short of toilet roll, soap and sanitizer.
It’s not to say we won’t be back, the good outweighs the bad… at the moment… I just hope they don’t remain too big for their boots.

Really enjoyed our 2 night stay here in one of the countryside glamping tents. They are very well kitted out with all the essentials to cook etc. There was a good sized sofa, four seater table, double bed, wardrobe, storage box and bedside drawers. Parking also immediately next to it, with outside picnic bench and gas bbq.
We opted to include a food and drink hamper with local items and would recommend this also.
There is a shop on site with reasonably priced local produce which was very well stocked.
Staff very friendly and happy to help on site with local directions, information etc.
Shower blocks are new and cleaned constantly. They are a welcome change from transitional shower blocks when camping as you have your own toilet, shower, changing area all in one.
The walks from the site are incredible. So much to get out and see, luckily we timed the tide well and we were able to explore for hours and hours.
Really enjoyed our stay here and will be back next year!
Thank you for having us!

Wow! What an amazing place. We walked the costal path for a coupe of hours before treking down to the bay where we spent a few hours roaming and paddling. I have visited many UK beaches, some of the best in Cornwall and Rhossili (which is only a few miles from Three Cliffs) but this beach has something so peaceful about it, its so quiet and I'd imagine the access being a little difficult prevents this bay being over populated and spoiled. We walked toward the castle and back up the cliff (gets the heart pumping!) and then back along the coastal path which gave us the most amazing views. I'm shocked to read some reviews from people who weren't bowled over by this bays beauty! I just can't imagine how you wouldn't be impressed, it was such a special day out and one I'd love to replicate in the future. Bring refreshments, there isn't anywhere nearby to buy food or drinks - it's not that type of beach.

Visited here for the day and it was really good. We parked in the main car park where the cafe and heritage centre was and cost £4 for the day. We walked along to the bay which probably took 30 mins, had a rear nice walk through the coves and the rivers and then up the cliffs and to the castle and back.

A bit of a walk to the beach . You can park in the national Trust car Park that costs non members or park on street and walk near a footpath near the golf club. Stunning beach , beautiful sand

Hi we are travelling with Motorhome and wondered what the max hook up length is for cable we have 9m is this suffice?
Written September 22, 2019
Generally a 15meter cable is needed, we do however have a couple of spares leads or alternatively sell them.

Why is it that we bucked with one per pitch then phoned saying that we will have more than one tent we will have a little tent the person on the phone said ohh that is fine we arrive and get told that we are not allowed more than one tent
Written August 23, 2019
Sorry I do not know about booking tent pitches you need to contact site for that

Can you find quiet spots on the beach?
Written August 3, 2018
Yes the beach is huge with lots of coves

Can you find quiet spots on the beach?
Written August 3, 2018
The beach is large but open. There are a few nooks that could be considered secluded but generally you pick your spot and people walk past, many with dogs.
Written August 3, 2018
Hi I'm looking at visiting the 3 cliffs, but my husband and sister have back issues, just wondering if there's a easy way to beach from car park
Written June 29, 2018
No it's a hell of a walk but there are more accessible beaches a short drive away
Written July 10, 2018
where is the best place to access with someone on crutches?
Written August 29, 2017
In all honesty it is a woodland path with tree roots, leaves and uneven ground - you can access this path opposite the Shepherds shop . . . . but it would not be user friendly for someone on crutches!

Where is best to park to get to three cliffs bay, we will be bringing our dog? Thanks Lauren
Written August 27, 2017
For free parking you can park on the green which is past Shepperds, keeping that on your right going towards Penard. The green is infant of some houses and has a market on there occasionally. Sorry don't know what it's called. You then walk down through the path to 3 cliffs.
