Called up about 6 times over the course of two (working) days. 'Phone was not answered and went to voicemail saying the centre would next be open Feb 15-Feb 19th 2010 (!). Sent enquiry through website remained unanswered several days later. Will look up somewhere else to visit instead.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, I'm sorry to hear that you were unable to get in contact with us. Unfortunately the Factory undergoes a factory shut down every Easter period, during this time ther are very little staff on site to answer the phones. However, there was a message on our website informing our customers... More

Four adults and two children aged 3 and 8 arrived at the factory to a lovely welcome. The lady who gave the talk and tour was very informative and approachable. My kids thought she was lovely. The chocolate just kept on coming to the point where we couldn't eat anymore. The children even got to decorate there own chocolate bar... More

Had a lovely afternoon with my daughter and her family at the Chocolate Factory. We all found it really interesting especially being able to see up close all the different stages of processing the chocolate. The children especially enjoyed decorating their own bar of chocolate. The marshmallows dipped in chocolate went down really well. All in all, although not on the... More

I imagined it would be bigger, I have been to the cadbury world factory and this place is tiny in comparison but you do get the personal touch. Just about found the place and the parking isn't actually defined very well, but ample for the amount of people they have coming through the doors. The initial stage is sitting in... More

Thanks for taking the time to write your review and I’m very glad to hear that you enjoyed your visit. It’s true that we are a relatively small chocolate factory – our factory is some 40,000sq ft, while the production area that is open to the public only comprises a small part of this (for obvious health & safety reasons).... I personally was a little disappointed although the rest of the family really enjoyed it. The tour started with a really interesting talk on chocolate, the presenter was excellent - really knowledgeable and enthusiastic. This was then followed by a tour of the factory itself which was a letdown - there is very little manufacturing going on, just melting down... More

Thank you for writing this review, and for the honesty of your feedback. I’m glad to hear that you thought the opening talk on chocolate was interesting, and that you thought highly of our presenter. I will feed back to him later today. Of course, I am disappointed to hear that the tour of the factory didn’t live up to... More

Hi! Thanks for writing this review. We’re so pleased to hear you enjoyed yourselves and the chocolate samples, and that you found the history of chocolate interesting. Our tour guide is passionate about gearing parts of the tour for the adults and big kids, and it’s encouraging to know that these efforts have been successful. Sadly, as you say, there... More

This is an over priced complete waste of money, there are a few bowls of free chocolate, which is disgusting, it tastes very fatty, I would waste my money, there are much better attractions in Swansea

Thank you for taking the time to write some feedback, although I’m disappointed to hear you didn’t enjoy, of all things, the chocolate. Let me first say that it’s unusual for me to hear that someone visiting did not enjoy ANY of the chocolate on our factory tour. In fact, this is the first complaint of its kind I’ve personally... Hi Andy & Wendy! What else can I possibly say to this other than ‘THANK YOU!’. What a wonderfully generous review. We’re so glad that you enjoyed the experience despite our limitations as a fairly small, working factory. What we lack in scale, we try to make up for in enthusiasm and chocolate. I’ve already printed off this response and... More

Found this on the internet before we visited the Gower last year. Having previously been to Cadbury's World at Bournville I was most impressed with this place. I found it more interesting and informative than Cadbury's and there was a better interaction between the staff and the visitor's. Would you believe that when we were asked to put our hands... More

Thank you for writing this review. It really is fantastic to hear how much you enjoyed both your visit to The Chocolate Factory and the chocolate samples. While I always like to make the point of distancing ourselves from Cadbury’s World – they being a multi-million pound enterprise with a brand recognised world-wide, us being a comparatively small family-run chocolate... Absolutely brilliant. Informative guided tour by Gareth which was made fun and suited our student needs. Students found the whole experience fantastic and enjoyed the fact they were watching the chocolate being made in a factory . Lots of chocolate tasting...and more chocolate and when you could not eat any more ...another chocolate. Thank you Gareth.
