We took a party of Beaver Scouts on a visit over Half Term and they thoroughly enjoyed themselves! Our host was excellent with the children and they all learned a great deal about where chocolate comes from and how it is made. The sampling was yummy!!!

I imagined it would be bigger, I have been to the cadbury world factory and this place is tiny in comparison but you do get the personal touch. Just about found the place and the parking isn't actually defined very well, but ample for the amount of people they have coming through the doors.
The initial stage is sitting in room learing about the whole chocolate process from the tree to the shop shelfs, it was quite educational and there was lots of chocolate to be had, next its into the factory which is pretty small and only takes 30-40 mins.
All in all an ok attraction that I visit again sometime!

Thanks for taking the time to write your review and I’m very glad to hear that you enjoyed your visit. It’s true that we are a relatively small chocolate factory – our factory is some 40,000sq ft, while the production area that is open to the public only comprises a small part of this (for obvious health & safety reasons). The chief upshot is that, as you say, we can give proper attention to each of our visitors on a guided tour and make sure that everyone get plenty to eat. I take your point about the car parking situation and will investigate to see if I can come up with a solution. Visitors are welcome to park anywhere is the front car park, although I definitely agree that it could be clearer. Once again, thank you for taking the time to write a review and I’m very glad to hear that you found the tour educational, the chocolate samples ample, and that you are thinking of visiting again in the future! I Hope to see you again!

Thank you for your review and wishing to come back again. We are only able to run tours when, the factory is actually in production. At present this excludes weekends. Occasionally, due to other constraints, it can mean that we are not able to run tours during the week. This is one of the reasons why, we ask for bookings in advance so as to avoid any disappointment. We did open for weekends for one season but found that, demand for tours during the week was much greater than at weekends! We are continually reviewing our opening times, so please do visit our website for any updates. Kind regards.

its a waste of money, the tour is sitting on a bench for a while being told a bit about chocolate (all of which I knew) and then going round a room twice. At the end of the tour any adults without children were told to leave so that the children could make some lollies........ Luckily we have a little boy, but for ÂŁ8 I thought that everyone should have been able to make a lolly to take away. There are better things to use your hard earned cash on in Swansea.

We went here for a rainy day out. It took ages to find as there wasn't even a proper sign on the building. It was then dirty and dodgy looking on a run down industrial site so we didn't even go in! The chocolate may be good according to other reviews but the outside put us off. Will stick to buying it off the shelf!

Thank you for your comments. We are a real working factory, based on an industrial estate and as such we appreciate that, the appearance of our building is not what might be expected. However, a tour of the Chocolate Factory more than makes up for any initial adverse reaction. You may be pleased to learn that, many of our clients are well known U.K. retailers and as such our food handling standards match their requirements. At present, we are only open for tours from Monday to Friday and all our advertising & promotional material does state that, booking is essential. We appreciate that, locating us may not be that straightforward but the number of brown signs we are allowed is restricted by the council. There is a large banner on our perimeter fence to assist and our bright yellow Chocolate Factory van is also parked outside the site. We are sorry that, you did not wish to venture inside but you might be interested to learn we are relocating. We are confident that, the new site will be far more aesthetically appealing.

I never write reviews but I don't want anyone else going there until they sort themselves out. I have written to the Tourist Board and to the "factory" itself. It's ÂŁ8 for adults, ÂŁ6 for children and I even had to pay for my 2 year old. They don't put prices on the leaflet so by the time you get there it's too late to leave as your older children are beside themselves with excitement. To be fair my 6 and 4 year old enjoyed themselves but what a rip off.

I can highly recommend a visit here. We, two adults and two children aged 5yrs and 9yrs, visited The Chocolate Factory during the summer holidays. Going on a Monday meant that we were lucky enough to be in a small group - just us and one other couple! The lady giving the tour was fantastic - so friendly and informative - and really made a fuss of the children. We had a small talk to begin with - about where their chocolate comes from and the different forms it takes- how it enters the factory and how it can leave - all very well done with props! The children saw and could handle real cocoa pods, the beans, cocoa butter on so on. They also had the opportunity to try the different types of chocolate. Then putting on our hairnets and aprons we went into the factory itself. We got to see the workers and the machines in action. They were currently working on chocolate hearts - so we got to witness the whole process of how the plastic moulds were made, where the tons of chocolate were melted down, how the hearts were made and foiled. The children had the chance to 'shake' chocolate in moulds to create hollow figures - and of course, the best bit, more tasting! The tour ended with a visit to the Chocolate Shop - which was fab - and the children certainly enjoyed picking up some treats to remember their day by. We all had a thoroughly enjoyable day - in the words of my 9yr old son, "That was awesome!"

Thank you very much for your positive review. We do strive to provide a personal experience that is both, informative and fun. The exciting thing about is visit is that, you can never tell what we are making from one day to the next! The next time you visit we could be making chocolate stars, bears, soldiers, bars or even something bespoke. Your comments will be passed onto our colleague who conducted the tour.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, I'm sorry to hear that you were unable to get in contact with us. Unfortunately the Factory undergoes a factory shut down every Easter period, during this time ther are very little staff on site to answer the phones. However, there was a message on our website informing our customers and visitors that we were closed from Thursday 28th March to Monday 5th of April 2013, I;m sorry if you were unable to see this, next time we are closed I will ensure the message is noticible on the website. With regards to the phone line, unfortunately we had some technical difficulties with our answerphone service during this time. I hope that this has not deterred you from coming to visit us, and we hope that you will come to see us soon!
