- EwootyLondon, United Kingdom30 contributionsA must for foodiesAmazing market, best you’ll ever visit. The prices are bargain and the quality is too especially for food. Garlic butter is perfect for cooking with bacon. Welsh cakes are always perfect and less than 50p each or £2 for 6 in some stalls. Sea food is excellent too. We always bring home welsh comforts from hereVisited February 2020Traveled as a coupleWritten February 26, 2020
- Paul141Banbury, United Kingdom224 contributionsGreat place to visitLots of stalls selling a load of varied items, loved the cake stall in the middle of the market. The fresh veg stalls had some real first class stuff for sale and at a great price. Had to laugh at Mike-o-Soft stall, but what a sound place to go, prices look very good as well. Nice hour or so in there with lots to look at and buy, with good prices !Visited February 2022Written February 27, 2022
- mike rBromsgrove, United Kingdom1,247 contributionsyou should visitLocated in the city centre this traditional market is easy to find, offers a good range of stalls with something to interest most shoppers. The fresh fruit and veg is particularly good, and the centre stalls are not to be missed, especially the fresh local cockles, perfectly cleaned with no trace of sand. Having not been here for a few years it was good to see the market busy with so many stalls flourishing. If you visit Swansea you should come to the market and enjoy the atmosphere, there are few better markets left in the U.K.Visited April 2022Written April 10, 2022
- Sand MPerth, United Kingdom727 contributionsIndoor marketWhat can you say. We were in town on the Sunday and this was closed so we made a point in going in to see it on The Tuesday. It was a wee bit disappointing to say the least . For someone like me I loved the record shop. Amazing browse but nothing else gripped me. I did go into a shop that sold ‘different’ things but the back flow burners were being sold twice the price I bought mine so really disappointed to say the least . However the fruit and veg looks amazingly fresh . If I lived here? I would go there for fresh fruit and vegVisited October 2021Traveled as a coupleWritten October 26, 2021
- Carol L1 contributionDog friendly my *rseStopped for a pot of tea at Janet's cafe, which was duly delivered. The young lady made no reference to our small dog quietly sat by the table. A little later after we had just poured our tea, some other woman says we'll have to go because of the dog, saying we'll have to have takeout cups. I merely ask for a tray to take our refreshments out of the café area (of which there is no signage regarding dogs, welcome or otherwise) at which point some other fish wife unconnected to the cafe starts on about you can't sit there you'll have to have takeout cups. Now...if I'd wanted takeout cups I would have ordered takeout, yes? Tray promptly dropped there and then, told them we felt as welcome as a fart in a spacesuit and left. We have been to Swansea market many times over the years, and we always make a special trip just to do so. Well done all you've just lost this customer, i only gave one star as there is no option for zeroVisited July 2023Written July 12, 2023
- Vladimir CHolsworthy, United Kingdom264 contributionsA Great MarketI don't often leave reviews for indoor markets, but this is a good one. I counted five top-quality butchers and four fishmongers in my short walk around. I bought two tomahawk steaks for an amazing £19.99 each, and got some hefty oysters for £1.50 each. It's a great market to stroll around on a wet day. I wish we had something similar where we live.Visited June 2022Written July 1, 2022

There’s so much to have a look at & a great place to try locally sourced & local treats. All fresh and the owners are friendly and welcoming. The hot fresh Welsh cakes are mouthwatering. We love the huddle and bustle and the environment of this old school indoor market. Take the time out to visit, get to meet local traders and taste locally sourced items.Visited November 2020Traveled as a coupleWritten March 24, 2021
- Ashleigh L3 contributionsExcellent, put a smile on my facd6I visited forever gold to have my ring fixed and just want to compliment the amazing service. I have had my ring taken in before, but I was missing a stone this time. It was fixed but I was unhappy as the stone was a different colour and one of the claws hadn't been fixed. When I took it back, both dave and sheryl couldn't it been more helpful and apologetic. They promised to work with me until the issues had been resolved. And they did!!! I was told to expect not to hear from them for 2 weeks, but within 2 days I had my ring back, like brand spanking new!!! The stones are better than ever and the claw had been fixed as promised. I was charged no extra as they were set on resolving their mistake and making sure I was happy. They were so so sorry for the mix up. Which I absolutely didn't mind as, as promised, it was made good as new in less time than expected and with such genuine and quality service. Everyone makes mistakes but its rectifying it that is the important part, and they most certainly did, whilst being ever so helpful and kind. I am so so happy with the outcome and will certainly be going to them in future, never a problem to rectify anything and they just want to make sure the customer is happy. Thankyou both, I'll be back in future!!Visited May 2021Traveled soloWritten May 17, 2021
- KenBowenLlanelli, United Kingdom12 contributionsCockle provenanceAt the outset I must say that I love Swansea Market but am often let down by the cockle sellers at the central rotunda. Most recently Andrie Swistun was asked for confirmation that they were Penclawdd cockles. She said yes of course and again when pressed said they were from Penclawdd. The truth of the matter is they were not and had in all probability been imported from Holland. They were larger and nowhere the quality of local qualities. Disappointed to be lied to yet againVisited April 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten April 20, 2023

A visit for a quick snack and general `look around` over lunch time.
Found it to be a really good indoor market with a large variety of stalls.
Very well placed to Swansea town centre.

A charming market in Swansea City centre. Some lovely little stalls offering local produce but as is the case with many local market there was allot of not so good stalls.
The gower butcher had a fabulous selection of meats. Falafel stall was top notch.

Very interesting market with huge number of stalls (I didn't see any empty units!) - all busy selling all manner of things. Great range from every type of food and drink, fresh fruit, veg, meat, fish to clothing, collectables, shoes, bags, tailoring alterations etc. (Free, clean toilets too!)
