A grand public house with bed a nd breakfast in the centre of Pontardawe. Always a good welcome though I have never stayed here myself.

I have mixed opinions on this accommodation and don’t want to be unfairly critical, however overall I had a good, comfortable, value for money stay and would consider staying again next year.
On first viewing the B&B I wondered what I had let myself in for - it is an old public house which is very clean and tidy however it needs spruced up a little bit and the accommodation annex needs the worn carpets replaced. The bar (and breakfast hall) is large and comfortable but like many U.K. pubs is struggling for custom. My triple bedroom was large, clean, comfortable with a good shower and had all the facilities I needed. There is free wi-fi, breakfast was good (no other meals are served), and the owner is friendly and helpful and I enjoyed a few beers in the bar each evening.
My only real complaint is noise as the walls are thin and you can hear music from the bar, it can keep you awake at weekends but does not go on too late. It is in the cheaper B&B price bracket and will not suit everyone but for this weekend and my motor biking trip it was ideal.

we have stayed here two or three times over the years and it is an ok pub with B&B.
its ok for budget accommodation which is all we were looking for at the time.
we were disappointed on the last visit as we were told ON ARRIVAL there wouldn't be any breakfast and they would adjust the price accordingly.
We haven't stayed since.
