The mythical west Wales tour.

On this tour you are accompanied by a historian with a deep passion and knowledge of Wales. You will learn some Welsh, sample traditional Welsh food and learn about the ancient history and culture of Wales. Gareth, your guide is a fluent Welsh speaker and he will give you an insight into Wales that wouldn't be available with a standard tour operator.
The area we will visit is dotted with quaint old towns and picturesque villages which seem untouched by time. The South West is the home of Pembrokeshire coast national park, and is an area renowned for the beauty of its beaches and coastline. For the lovers of castles there many to discover with Carreg Cennen, Pembroke and Kidwelly being three of the most impressive.
An example of a tour could be a visit to the wonderfully preserved Norman Castle at Pembroke, then lunch in the beautiful medieval port of Tenby followed by a stop off in Laugharne, the former home of the poet Dylan Thomas.

I just want to start by saying that every member of staff were very polite, helpful and one lady in particular was very kind when she asked if I was ok, as I was sat in a changing room waiting for my husband and son, I am 8 months pregnant and this member of staff in particular checked that I was ok, I found that very attentive. Sadly my negative review is solely down to the fact that the pool was chilly, to walk around the pool to access the slides was FREEZING and there was no relief in a warm shower after getting out as these were also barely warm. Myself, husband and son were cold throughout our whole visit whilst in the pool. Furthermore, the toilets were not pleasant, no toilet roll in most of the cubicles, locks not working and overall just very tired and not well maintained toilets. The cubicle floors were not cleaned regularly, again not a staff complaint but perhaps more training should be given to staff, or more staff perhaps in these areas to keep on top of cleaning. The life guards were doing a great job and in particular the young lad in charge of the lazy river and I noted that he was backwards and forwards constantly making sure he kept an eye on everyone going in and leaving the area, his attention was 100% on the swimmers as was the attention of all the life guards. The parking was a also a big negative for us as we had to wait for several crossings to get across the very busy main road into swansea city centre in order to get to the LC2. If I had found the changing rooms and toilets cleaner and the pool and showers were warmer then I wouldn't have had anything to be negative about. The staff made the trip positive and I must commend them on their customer service skills.

I go here all the time to swim, and I can't fault the place. An 8 lane 50m pool, which can be split into a 25m and a 23m pool. In addition to this the floor can be raised in the 23m section to allow for infants and young children. There is also a seperate 25m pool in the same hall. I recommend you use the online timetable before you go. It's easy to use, and tells you what the 50m pool setup will be. The car park is pay and display but you receive a percentage of this back at the pool reception. The carpark and pool can get very busy at times.

Swimmed here for years - spoilt we are. Not a complaint really but an observation - Communal showers but why do some men rummage around washing in their budgie smugglers when there are free cubicals ??? Anyway love swimming here!!!xxx

We visited recently for the Welsh Nationals gala event. The Sat nav took us to the wrong location - so beware to look for sign posts as you come from the traffic lights Parking was horrendous! We were stuck in a travelled overflow car park down the back of pool but we had to walk back round and up to the main car park to buy a ticket. The car park attendants were having the time of their lives putting fines on cars! Inside was very busy, as expected, the signs were not great to find the changing rooms or spectators area. The seating area was vast and there were lots of bin bags so it was fairly clean. These were emptied regularly. It was very, very hot inside. Unbearable at times - why the seating area can't have some ventilation is silly. There were a couple of cool vented tubes at the top of the stairs but these were constantly hugged by hot spectators! The pool itself looked clean and well maintained. The gala was organised very well and the live streaming provided by the event was excellent.

Great pool which is very badly run. No rhyme or reason to the never ending change of opening times. In 2018 the lockers still only take the old £1 coins. Broken showers take years to fix etc etc. If you're in Swansea and looking for a one off swim it's fine, but if going regularly check the opening times before you go.
