About
The Dylan Thomas Theatre is a thriving community theatre in the heart of the Maritime Cultural Quarter and SA1 Development area of Swansea. It is Swansea's only waterside theatre venue, home to the multi award-winning Swansea Little Theatre Company and also available for hire to visiting theatre companies and community groups . Swansea Little Theatre Company are a registered charity with a membership of over 150 actors and technicians, all working on a voluntary basis to provide a vibrant and varied theatre programme, while managing the building. The theatre itself recently underwent a major redevelopment to improve its facilities and access, following the award of a substantial Arts Council of Wales grant.

A cosy little theatre with Dylan Thomas memorabilia in the foyer. Seating is well-raked to give a good view of the stage. Good facilities but could do with a cloak room/facility other than the single coat stand!

Went to see a play there last night. A very welcoming ambience and great view of the stage. Intermission for ice cream and a bar open too.
Prices really good as was the play
Thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Such a great experience and going back for more....says it all!

A lovely place to visit for the family, especially when the Swansea Jazz festival bands were performing in the theatre.

A fully equipped theatre venue which is sustained by an enthusiastic amateur company. No one gets paid.
The theatre has a range of theatre productions and events throughout the year. Recent productions include Agatha Christie; Chekov; Dennis Potter; Rowan Williams and locally produced Panto. Rumplestiltskin and incoming musicals Pajama Game; Dirty Rotten Scoundrels A vibrant youth theatre group.

Just arrived home after watching the Swansea Little Theatre production of Sherlock Holmes and The Case of The Christmas Carol, perfect location for the theatre, set alongside the marina, easy access and parking, nice friendly atmosphere and staff, who are, incidentally all volunteers, well set out auditorium with tiered seats and no blocking from people sitting in front, disabled seats at ground level too, with wide access doors into theatre. Very nice small bar offering good selection of drinks from coffee to ales and wines. Well worth checking out for productions during the year.

Went here with friends for the first time and what a lovely little theatre it is. Lots of interesting facts and old letters on the wall in the bar were a special touch. I can't believe I haven't been here before as I live locally. This theatre is small enough to have an intimate feel to it without losing any of the ambiance and charm. Will definitely be going again.

I made my first visit last week and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I’d definitely go again! The performance was great, a good cast, the scenery was well done and a cosy auditorium. Definitely a hidden gem!

This is a very small theatre located on the side of the Marine Quarter of Swansea. The theatre is well supported and has a core of very talented actors. Seating is tiered with probably no more than 200 seats to you are very close to the actors with an unrestricted view. Most years there is a performance of Under Milk Wood and/or another Dylan Thomas play or short story, but the format of changes. My favourite was when UMW was performed like the original radio play with the actors sitting in a semi circle behind a veil-like curtain.

A friend was appearing in a world premiere here, hence the reason for the visit. A pleasant little theatre with a capacity of about 150 and a well-raked auditorium. Could do with a cloakroom or something better than a single coatstand by the box office. On this occasion programmes cost £5 which was a bit steep for an amateur production.
