Always hesitate to recommend visitors to come to Gower, as too many visitors will ruin it. But, as I write (April 2019) there are still lenty of quiet places, y the sea and inland, where you can find a hideaway fairly easily.

Gower is absolutely beautiful yet is easily accessible by car or public transport. There are excellent facilities in the most popular villages and beaches but there are still wide areas that are devoid of any development. I am rather biased as I live there.

I had a mixed grill and it was delicious. I couldn't get over how much was on the plate.. One of the waitresses packed what I couldn't eat for me to bring home.

Lucky it is still so well protected -seeing that Butlins would have loved to have built here (went to Minehead instead -lucky for us). Great range of Carboniferous limestone cliffs and long stretches of golden sands (e.g. Oxwich and Rhossili).

Summer is the best time to visit the Gower as transport is regular compared to winter times.
