Absolutely superb day with a very good meal at the Greyhound Oldways to finish off. Beautiful scenery and excellent walking. Brought back my teenage memories. Amazing to see how nature has taken it's course on the beaches we visited

This is a lovely part of the world with beautiful beaches. The roads can be a bit busier in peak times but out of peak this part of the world is tranquil.

The Gower Peninsula must be one of the most beautiful places in Wales, of which there are many. Pretty villages, little coves and fine beaches abound. But do be careful on the narrow roads where, when passing an on-coming vehicle, it is easy to have a close encounter with the hedge which could, as in our case, cause damage to... More

We visited Rhossili and Oxwich Beaches and both were excellent, although we just prefer Rhossili. The whole area has beautiful scenery and excellent beaches. One note of caution if you are not from the area. We forgot our sat nav and found the signposts on many of the roads were not very good so we made one or two wrong... More

This is a little known peninsula and a gem. If you love good beaches, fantastic walks, good places to stay, good food. Perfect for children. Not crowded even in the height of summer you can find a near deserted beach. Something for everyone. You can walk around the whole peninsula on the Welsh coastal path - 53 miles. Buses available... I may be biased as I live in South Wales but the Gower is a magical place and suitable for people of all ages and with the Mumbles close by the perfect place for a long or short break

travelled the world and yet always want to see Gower. Beautiful sandy beaches with safe swimming, high cliffs with fantastic views and everywhere is easy for walking. North Road takes you through Welsh old villages that look out over an estuary where wild ponies and sheep can be seen grazing. Further on there are country pubs on route and a... More

Great place to walk or sit on the beach. We stayed in excellent self catering accommodation about a mile from Rhossili. Rhossili NT car park (free to members) is an excellent place from which to walk along the cliffs or on the large beach (steep path with steps down). There is a small hotel, cafe and a few small shops,... More
