Despite the natural beauty, the beach was littered with plastics and other seaborne rubbish, making it unappealing to visit. It obviously hasn’t been cleared for a long time. It needs to be done more regularly as it is a privilege to oversee/own such a beautiful area.

I really don’t want to tell anyone about Broughton bay but such a beautiful and quiet beach. Visited on the hottest day of the treat so far and really empty. We have been coming here since 1960s and just love it, home from home.

We found the surf at last. After a few calm days with pleasant easy swimming we were looking for the surf that the Gower is known for. Unfortunately we had left the board behind, not expecting any action, although body surfing(?) was still great fun.
After an exhilarating session in the pounding surf, wading back was like walking through treacle. What can you expect when you’re in your eighties? It makes you feel good to be alive !

One of Gower's most beautiful beaches, of which there are many. Often voted in the top 10 of Trip Advisors British beach attractions. Still takes my breath away on a lovely sunny day.

OMG best beach so far in United Kingdom!! Went there for 2 days, and wish that could stay there forever! Love the waves, nice cafe nearby for a sandwich and milkshake. Sun was out, love the tan! Space for everyone. Will definitely come back

A simply beautiful beach with sand and surf. If this was in Hawaii it'd be rammed, so enjoy the solitude as it's in Wales! The negative reviews all seem to moan about access and lack of amenities but, to me. this is the attraction.

Huge picturesque beach. Dog friendly, hardly anyone there at the end of September. Virtually the whole beach to ourselves even though the weather was good.
Large sand dunes to explore too.

Stunning beach. We came here recently for a dog walk and it is absolutely beautiful. The coastline is stunning and there are so many walks you can do around here. The beach is so expansive I can’t ever imagine it feeling crowded

Even though I live only about 20 miles away I have never walked this beach without the kids and I'm so glad I did. It's magnificent. The Surf alone is amazing and to then walk over to another Beach (which is quite a walk so grandkids little legs wont manage it and be greeted by what is known as the Blue Pool which is basically a large rock formation which stays filled up with sea water where you can jump in like a plunge pool took my breath away (literally). You cannot buy these days out. Live your life and go for it.

Well what can you say about this beach, voted best in europe really says it all but...you have to visit it and walk it to take it all in, first, stand on the top of the cliff near the Worms Head hotel in the car park at the now national trust owned car park and just breathe in the spectacular view before you, then descend the path onto the beach and walk to the wreck of the Helvetia which is one of the wrecks to grace the sand, the view and walk along the beach is awesome and easy to see why it attracts many thousands of visitors from across the world, a must when in the gower, lots of choices for food on the cliff top too. Car parking is now a very reasonable £2.00 or free for national trust members but no concessions for blue badge holders.
