- Katie CLlanelli, United Kingdom304 contributionsPretty beachNice beach, ended up here after a walk. If you have a dog, be careful as dogs are only welcome at certain points of the year. Impressive to see all of the people taking part in water sports etc. Can imagine it gets very busy in the summer.Visited January 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten April 22, 2024
- Jacob MOxford, United Kingdom32 contributionsA perfect beach for walkingWe started our day at Langland, and made our way to here on the stunning path, which I highly recommend going to, the views are stunning. The beach is pretty and very well equipped with facilities. One of the best beaches in the Swansea area!Visited May 2024Traveled with friendsWritten June 2, 2024
- Sue N9 contributionsSolo swimGreat beach for swimming, easily accessed by an hourly bus from Swansea between 10am and 5pm in the summer, last bus back just before 6pm. Good public toilets. Cafes and surf school available. Beach access by steps or a ramp.Visited August 2024Traveled soloWritten August 15, 2024

Have to pay for Car Park..soooo popular with Surfers (Llangennith being another..)
Beautifully clean beach - accessed across road from car park, so its popular with young families, OAPs & surfers..
Coastal path to Mumbles - a huge bonus!
Two Cafes on beach front - personally prefer in the Winter months when quieter...

I visit it many times in the year. In the winter it is a lot colder , obviously but just sitting anywhere round the dry part of the sand even in winter gives one a feeling of calm! Summer becomes the time when all the families arrive and revel in the sun and watch the kiddies enjoy the sand castles and sea.....just relax!!!!!

This bay is amazing and was our favourite out of the handful we visited on our hols! The sand is golden and pure and when the tide is out is stunning! There are so many little nooks to sit in and relax. No crowds and my dog loved it. We went twice, walking from Langland one day on the coastal path which is beautiful.

Holiday in Swansea and visit to Caswell and Mumbles car parks. Found a Blue Badge space at Caswell and joined queue for ticket machine some people having problems seeing screen Welsh language and small text instructions on notice boards. Many had 4/5 attempts before they got ticket. I had same problem, some locals helped me but kept cancelling so gave up. Tried Mumbles and other carparks most full but same at all machines, long queues and people struggling. Gave up in the end. All that space on the road from Swansea to Mumbles and hardly anywhere to park no wonder the beach and businesses were empty. Failed to park so left. Will not holiday again in Wales just a frustrating waste of time.

Went to Caswell Bay for the first time in years with my children, on a very hot day, was like being on holiday which we have unfortunately not been able to do this year.
Nice and clean, very good facilities, clean toilets and cheap food and drink.
Warning for other visitors is to take coins for the parking. £6 all day. The card machine does not work and to download the app to pay online requires a signal, which is hard to get. Spent a whole hour trying to pay before we could chill out and enjoy the beach. So the council really need to sort that out in this modern covid-19 world!!

This was a nice beach, although I didn't know that a no smoking beach was a thing. The ice-cream could have been firmer and the mobile signal stronger but, overall, it was worth it. I like the idea of surfers being able to hand their car keys in at the cafe, although I didn't need to do this. The toilets were OK too.

Parking is a complete and utter nightmare no matter what time of the day you go. Twice we been at different times one being aroubd 10.30am and another after 5 and twice its taken a hr to park. I don't understand why the council cant build a 2 story carpark as they have the space to do so.
As well, the toilets are stinking. Considering we are in a pandemic i dont think they ever get cleaned!
Apart from them 3 bad reviews the beach is something else. Its stunning. The ice cream hut is lovely serving hot food, drinks and ice cream all staff are lovely.
There a nice coffee shop as well again staff lovely and both places spotless
Enough bins in the area so no excuses of litter and they are regularly emptied

A medium sized beach with rocks at each end. Good sand with almost no stones/pebbles. There is a local surf school and the beach is very popular on warm days /holidays/weekends. Not so much sand left when the tide comes in. Couple of cafes/ice cream/snacks outlets and toilets.
Car park seems of a reasonable size, but on busy days is full quickly, and the narrow road passing through gets clogged with people trying to find parking.
Also the parking meters seem temperamental. probably because the phone signal is poor and they struggle to authorise card payments . Best to take cash, or pay by phone app ( the signal is better once you get on the beach)

Me and my fiance visited here today on a day down the beach. We arrived around 12pm (lunchtime)
The tide was out and after the walk from langland carpark along the coastal path we come across caswell bay.
After the taking photoa of the views we went down onto the beach.
The beach was clean and full of soft yellow sand.
We walked along the beach following the coastal path and we sat by the rocky backdrop of the bay.
We made our way down to the sea which in the heatwave was a wonderful place to cool down.
There was no rocks in the sea just pure sand went in to swimming depth and we could see the bottom of the seabed. The water was crystal clear.
At the top of the beach by the entrance there is a café and a snack and icecream kiosk which sell plenty of cold refreshments.
The beach was free of any litter and big enough for large groups of people and still have your own space.
Overall perfect day and definately resembled being abroad.

This is a beautiful bay to come to with a fantastic sand beach and excellent view. Great for people of all ages - there were people paddle-boarding, families making sand castles, and people just sitting in the sun. There is a lovely walkable path around the cliffs to Langland Bay. A great place to spend a few hours.

Can we take the dog to this beach in march?
Thank you!

Please can you tell me if the car park has a large expanse of grass and is a play and display car park, and a road or track suitable for cars past some houses and then on around the beautiful cliffs. I am not sure if we had to turn back or found a road out. As we would love to do the drive and take some more photos but can't remember where we were !!

I don't think it is Caswell Bay that you have described, but not sure which one it is, sorry!
