This is a great place just for going for a walk or for taking the kids out for the park and a picnic.

I have had many visits mostly when my children were small. Now my grandchildren go here for picnics and play in the park. I have never taken the tour around the house but the building itself looks impressive and the grounds are beautiful.

My husband and I with our two grandsons aged 8 and 6 have had a family membership for 3 years and have loved using our local Trusty property at Tredegar House. However, I have become very disillusioned with the Trust and wonder if any other members have had poor experiences. Recently my grandsons had an inset day, their's was the... More

Came here for a day out on Saturday with a friend and I had a really nice time. The gardens are lovely - large without being too large. We had a nice relaxing walk around the gardens and the lake. We enjoyed ourselves inside the house, although we did think that it was rather a mish mash of different periods... More

Wonderful National Trust property, giving a warm, friendly, welcome to responsible dog owners. After a lovely warm welcome from the lady and girls in reception, we were given a dog walker’s guide with a map explaining all areas where dogs are allowed access under close control, on a short lead. Very dog friendly, Tredegar House and gardens welcome responsible dog... More

Have lived in Newport fro 25 years or so and been to receptions before the house became part of the National Trust some years ago. Then it was not an exciting place to visit-------- quite a change! There is (interesting) history abound throughout the grounds and house. Each room has its own guide who will unobtrusively give you a run... More

Holiday here with the family, thought we would take a look at this place and well we weren't disappointed! Stunning! Little games and puzzles to play inside the house that got you involved in history and the items in the house. Staff were very lovely, welcoming and full of knowledge about the Morgan's and their life there. Was wonderful hearing... More
