Newport Transporter Bridge is one of 8 remaining transporter bridges world wide. The Bridge is open April till the end of September Weds - Sun 10.00 -17.00. Last admission to the high level walkway is at 16:00 and last crossing west to east is at 16:30. The was designed by French Engineer Ferdinand Arnodin and opened Bridge opened in 1906 . The Bridge has a grade 1 listing.
