    Gathering after a Funeral
My husband and I had our Wedding Pictures taken in the park 30 years ago. He passed away recently and Belle Vue Tea Room was the obvious place to have the Gathering after the Service. It was just beautiful. Our family and friends were comfortable to share stories and memories. Thank you so much.

    Wonderful experience!
What a wonderful experience! We went here for a birthday celebration and had afternoon tea. It was absolutely gorgeous food, and no problem at all with my gluten free and vegetarian diet. The cafe is full of character and looking out over a beautiful park. The car park was close by. And, the staff were lovely and couldn't do enough - we'll definitely be back.

    Amazing highly recommend
We have just got back from an afternoon tea with Santa at the Bellevue tea rooms. Jan catered for my children one with a dairy intolerance. The food was amazing. The staff are so helpful and have made our afternoon really cheery and delightful. Santa and his elves were brilliant, really interactive with the children always coming over and making jokes, it’ was highly enjoyable for my 3 years old and 9 year old and even for us adults. I have visited before and everytime the ladies in the tea room are lovely. 5star thank you so much for kicking off our Christmas

Would definitely NOT book again or recommend a visit. We took our grandchildren to see Santa, cost £7.59 per child with small gift. Organised CHAOS, our first slot was booked for 2.25 pm, it was extremely busy & we saw an old friend who said they’d been waiting ages, a man was complaining about waiting but the lady greeting people didn’t seem too bothered. We were eventually called at 3.50 pm!! This is unacceptable, we’re not sure if it was a ploy to get people to spend money in the cafe, we were given a table with a piece of paper with a number on it, every table had families waiting for their turn. We bought coffees etc. and waited and hour and a half. Very unfair to people with toddlers as they don’t understand having to wait. It was the same last Saturday when we took our other grandchildren. We went again as the slots were booked online a few weeks ago. On our way out the lady said ‘sorry for the wait’and I said ‘it’s not your fault’, her reply was ‘oh it is because I did the bookings’, she didn’t seem bothered in the least. Also our 8 year old grandson was given a book about mermaids , he was disappointed, so they obviously don’t mark the gifts properly. All in all extremely disappointing.

What a shame this beautiful venue is so consistently marred by the rude attitude of some of the staff at Belle Vue Park Tea Rooms. I took my children there for a special treat and to warm up from the freezing weather but was rounded up whilst waiting in the queue by who I assume was the manager (brown hair in a ponytail, glasses, middle-aged) who aggressively suggested I might like to get a coffee from the van outside instead as they were 'busy' inside. Having ascertained the van only did takeaway coffee and was therefore unsuitable for young children I explained we'd be happy to remain queuing patiently which clearly annoyed her. It would appear that serving customers and running a thriving cafe in the current climate is not something this lady appreciates. I witnessed her virtually pushing other poor customers through the door and generally being rude, unfriendly and unsmiling. The food was ok but her attitude really put a dampner on our enjoyment of the visit. When I asked for salt to accompany my meal she openly rolled her eyes and gesticulated to a nearby windowsill, berating me with a 'see, you had it all long!' Of course, silly me, the salt in cafes is ALWAYS to be found on random windowsills 😳 The older man serving was equally unfriendly and walked past our table with our order a number of times despite us calling him. He then brought a number of things to our table that we hadn't ordered and seemed put out when we told him they were not ours. Honestly, it was chaos. So disappointing. On a positive note, the two young female staff were very friendly and helpful; the seniors could take note and follow their example.

I would agree. Lovely park, shame about the cafe. The staff were unhelpful and rude. I ordered 2 teas and a hot chocolate but when the order came, i was given one tea and 2 hot chocolates. When i brought this to the attention of the woman who served me she insisted that she was right and it was my mistake.
I ordered another cup of tea and i was charged a further £2.20 ! What happened to the notion that the 'customer is always right' ? Why, as a gesture of goodwill, was i not given the second cup of tea for free.

I was disgusted today to see an innocent women being told off by a manager at belle vie tea rooms, It loooked like the dog had put her paw on the table well from nowhere the manager came across and gave the poor owner and her friend a good telling off in front of everyone. There’s no need to treat people like this its appalling. I hope they complain about her, really hope it didn’t ruin their visit.

Appalling attitude today to my mother’s disability. The barrier was open, so as we have parked near the tea room before and displayed the bllue badge I drove down. The disabled parking in the car park isn’t an option as mum is in a wheelchair and is scared of steep slopes.
Today, staff could not care less that the barrier has been closed trapping my mother and made no effort to locate the council worker who closed the barrier. Shame on you. The cavalier attitude of the staff / owners was shocking. The one male staff member preferred to argue and confront me in front of my very frail, upset mother. Thankfully the council worker was actually close by so opened it, but we had very little help from the tea room!

Visited the cafe in this large park. Covid friendly. Clean toilets. Car park was pay and display. Food was good. Ordered cheesy toasties and jacket potato's. Both were lovely. Cakes are sublime! Really soft, fresh and delicious. Smoothies are made fresh on site - lovely. Lunch cost about 5GBP per head, so quite reasonable. Ice-cream is also delicious. The young girls serving were both friendly and smiley. :)

Attended the amazing pride in the port event! Such a wonderful welcoming event with so many great stalls. Clean toilets, lovely teas and food. Did get very busy at 13:30/14:00 though but at this event this was expected. Wonderfully friendly serving staff all working hard in what must be a very busy venue. Fingers crossed they get to host it again next year!

What lovely people. I had just sat down to enjoy my Welsh cakes and tea when my father called to pick him up from the hospital next to the park. The very kind lady said she would keep my teapot for me for a bit while I went to fetch him. I brought him back and ordered him a tea and cake for himself and she brought us a huge fresh pot of tea for two as she said she didn't think my other one would still be good. Just fantastic service and so appreciated. The value for money is amazing and our Welsh cakes just delish!! Oh I also spotted a couple of people enjoying a full "tea" with sandwiches and cakes and will definitely be back for that!!!
