I did the Dayskipper RYA qualification with Peter and he was really excellent. First rate local knowledge, an excellent sailor and instructor and very personable. Highly recommended.

Excellent training course and thoroughly recommend Pete who did our training, I am already planning to go back for more training with Cardiff Yacht Co when the weather warms up a bit.

I had a days sailing on X Beat 2 in the Bristol Channel. Peter, Iain and Andrew made me and the others welcome and after a safety briefing we set off through the locks of the Cardiff Bay barrage which is an experience in its own right. The wind and tide was right for us to sail close to the islands of Steep Holm and Flat Holm which I only normally see from Barry Island. I was able to join-in with the sailing side of things and had a thoroughly enjoyable day out.

We spent a very enjoyable few hours sailing in Cardiff Bay and the Bristol Channel with Peter and the guys. We could choose to sit back and relax as they sailed us around the Bay and out into the Channel, but were also allowed to help out and shown some of the basics of sailing before being dropped off at Mermaid Quay so that we could have a meal and some drinks there. I enjoyed it so much that I'm thinking of taking some lessons with them in future! If there's a group of you it's really not that expensive and it's definitely a thrilling and unusual day out and a great way of seeing Cardiff Bay.
