Typical English pub next to the hotel, non residents are welcome. Nice terrace and cosy inside, the whole place can act in a UK-serie. One big negative point ....... no local beer available. Shame on you for a local pub.

We've stayed at the hotel several times. The rooms have been refurbished since our last visit and are really comfortable. The hotel is great value for a central location in the city, only a short walk to the city centre. The staff are really friendly...More

Hotel fine-food good but the whole visit spoiled by the lady-I use the description loosely, who served the food, and the barmaid I believe to be her daughter-they we're rude and totally uncooperative, resulting in three couples leaving the hotel-appalling behaviour by these two employees.

Popped in here to have drinks with friends. Staff didn’t want to acknowledge us and seemed to prioritise glass polishing and straightening the peanuts over serving customers. Perhaps because we’re not ‘local’? Beer was fine but the unfriendly vibe was enough to put us off...More

This place was not for me. Inefficient booking system meant we had only one room instead of the two which had been booked, so I had to drive home again with the children, leaving my husband there on his own. Harassed staff and understaffed bar...More

Popped in here for a couple of beers on the way up Cathedral road. Good selection of beers in comfortable surrounds. Bar does get very busy when events (especially rugby) are on and at weekends. Otherwise it is a friendly environment for a couple of...More

Booked hotel as close to SWALEC Stadium to watch England cricket match and what a warm welcome we received from staff. Would definitely stay again as not far to walk to city centre, rooms had everything we needed and staff were very helpful.

Why is it that technology has progressed so much but the lager (carlsberg) in this pub is never very cold? I've mentioned it many times to the staff and nothing happens. Don't know why. No wifi either for at least 4 days. This pub used...More
