The meandering paths, the lake and river combine wonderfully with the fabulous display of trees and plants. It is well worth making the effort to visit Roath Park and enjoying the wildlife and plants all so close to the city centre. Sadly the hothouse is shut at the moment but even so there is enough to see in the beautifully planned and laid out gardens. The lake is popular and there is a cafe and seating there. Below the lake is a great children's play ground with a wide range of climbing equipment.…

Out for a long walk on a very fine day to Roath Park last week. It was definitely worth the energy and time we spent looking at the beautiful scenery and the creatures along the lake.

Has a park with swings and slides, many other kids climbing frames. Plenty of space on grass for a game of football and a picnic. Icecream van at gates , two toilet facilities around the park and a lot of around the park. Take a rowing boat ride or have a go on a peddle boats. Benches and bins around the lake. Animal sanctuary with fish and turtles and small pond animals a small walk around but interesting for the kids. …

A beautiful park with some lovely scenery, a lovely lake accompanied with a variety of things at a nice playground. Definitely worth a visit.
