About
Cefn Mably Farm Park is a huge all weather family farm attraction & softplay in one. Set in rolling countryside close between Cardiff and Newport. We offer a unique mixture of farm animals and softplay areas - the ideal place for action packed days out with the kids, birthday parties, schools and groups. The park is designed for families with toddlers to teens. The fun begins as you enter the indoor soft play barn where the children can let off steam and you can relax using the free wifi with a coffee and a slice of home made cake on a comfy leather couch. Once you and the kids are worn out from feeding the animals on the farm and playing on the electric go-carts and real diggers. Then on the way home you can visit our new Farm Shop and Butchery called "Moody Sow Farm Shop" and pick up some good old fashioned 28 day matured steak for your tea and some home cured, home smoked bacon for your breakfast!!!.

A great day out for the family
Nov 2021
Despite challenges due to considerable rebuilding needed and underway, the farm park is still a firm favourite with my family. Attended yesterday to celebrate a birthday and they are making great progress with their rebuild. This includes new features since our last visit such as the train ride.

I want to commend the quality of the accessibility approach. the newly laid paths are great - level and relatively smooth concrete that gives good hoot hold without being so undulating that it can trip those with foot drop.

Cafe menu is limited due to their rebuild, and a little pricey for what is on offer, but quality was fine.

We loved feeding the animals and my partner felt confident enough in the environment to walk most of the route (with breaks). My only request would be for a few benches around the route and maybe you have that planned.

Over priced
Oct 2021 • Family
The attractions that are there are lovely, new and well kept.. BUT there isn’t much there, you can do everything there in about 2 hours. The entry price of £8 pp is slightly overpriced, especially for children, but the fact that you have to pay for almost everything on top of that makes it poor value for money- £3 pony ride, £3 pp train ride, £3pp mini golf. I think the train ride should be included in the entry price at least because all you’re paying £8pp for is a play park and a few animals. It would work out a very expensive couple of hours out for a family with more than 1 or 2 children. When the new building with soft play opens it will make it better value for money and a longer morning/afternoon out, unless that’s going to be another additional cost too!!
Nice couple of hours out but won’t be returning, there are many other similar places that are better value

Too expensive
Sep 2021 • Family
Too expensive for what is just a playpark and a few animals. Plenty of other farm parks in South Wales at a fraction of the cost. The extra costs make it far too expensive to return regularly. All of the ride on tractors are also out of action. Sandpit toys are very sad and broken. I see they are building possibly a new indoor play area but the prices would have to be seriously dropped for us to return. Train needs to be included in cost and running continuously.
Re-think your prices, please.

Overpriced for an hours entertainment
Aug 2021 • Family
We paid £24 for the 3 of us to get in. We’d done everything within half an hour of being there including feeding the animals for an extra cost. The train, mini golf and pony rides are all £3 extra per person. If you chose to do these three things to kill more time, you’d be paying another £9 per person on top of the entrance fee. We managed to eek it out for an hour with my daughter playing for a long time in the park. The animals are nice but there aren’t many and it is done quickly. There were only 2 animals out to stroke in the pet area so this took about 5 minutes max. We’d been previously prior to the refurbishments and I actually felt there was no less to do and that’s putting aside the fact there’s not currently softplay. We decided to go for lunch elsewhere rather than give them anymore money. We visit similar attractions a lot and would say this is the poorest we’ve been to. Mostly because of the extra cost for all the additional attractions. We won’t be bothering again.

Great for young children
Jul 2021 • Family
A lovely afternoon with young kids. It's a shame you have to pay extra for the train ride. I don't think you can spend all day here. However it's perfect for a morning or afternoon. The play area is great for the kids. Enough animals to keep the kids interested. Overall a nice day during good weather. Unfortunately no indoor activities at the moment so it would be disappointing if it rained and not worth going.
The staff are amazingly friendly and helpful. They are a credit to the farm.

Over priced with hidden extras
Aug 2021 • Family
After paying £30 plus £2 for animal feed for a family of 4 to get in you are then asked to fork out more for....pony rides, train rides and crazy golf and not at a small added extra. Again another £12 just for the train. Do not be fooled by the advertised 'massive' place. Not very big, and you can just about stretch a half day out and thats purely due to the playpark. Not an overly large amount of animals....lots of sheep which a short drive to the beacons you could enjoy for free.
On a positive note, the place is very clean and well kept. The lady who ran the train was very polite and happy.

Lovely farm
Jul 2021
A lovely spaced out farm with plenty of play areas. Unfortunately, as my little girl is only 1 she didn't get to enjoy the play park but we did the train ride which she seemed to love.

Expensive hour out.
Aug 2021 • Family
A large family group of 9 we paid over £90 inc 7 tickets for the train and a couple of bags of feed. Could have spent less than an hour here and seen everything on offer. The train ride is nice, but short doesn’t justify the price. The play park is good, the animals seemed cared for but for the price paid we expected something on a larger scale. Lots of hand washing facilities. Sure when the building site part is finished it will be better value.

Full price for half a farm

Want to recognise the outstanding job the fella doing the pony rides did. Massive thank you to you mate, made the kids day. Very patient and reassured them, she absolutely loved it.

Rest of the park might be good, when it’s finished. Lot of money for a few goats, 2 pigs and play park.

Probably won’t come back when it’s finished, feel a bit put off by all the scaffolding, temporary tents and no concession considering it’s half done.

Be nice to see more than chips and burgers on offer as well

Disappointing
Aug 2021 • Family
We’ve always liked Cefn mably but it’s not back to its full potential yet. There’s not a lot of different animals, we just saw ALOT of goats and sheep and a few cows, llamas, horses and pigs. You have to pay extra for the train ride which is actually only 10 minutes long, same with the pony ride and crazy golf. Obviously the soft play hasn’t reopened yet so there is less to do generally. We also missed the small ‘petting’ animals. A bit disappointing and I hope they continue to add more for the entry price.
