This is a quiet little park not far from the National History Museum. Some flowers were blooming, but mainly it was a place to get away from the noise for a few minutes.

If you are in Cardiff City Centre and just want to escape for a short while then this park is perfect. Situated along the stretch from Town to the Museum it is full of well placed benches, beautiful monuments and lovely plants.

The three Old Dames of City Hall, the National Museum and the Law Courts offer a great vista of classic architecture, but behind them there are many smaller gems and park space offering a great location for peace and solitude in the centre of a capital city. Cardiff can be proud of its world class civic centre.

Surrounded by the grand white university and council buildings, this park is quite grand despite being small. The sculptures within the park are also impressive, along with the flower beds in summer time.
A perfect place to relax in the city.

Went there in the morning on the day King Charles III visited the city. The park was basically empty. This is a nice place to take in some sun and read a book. It was very quiet when we visited.

The roses and some flower beds are glorious, also crocus and flowering trees. Bit tired round the sides and needs more benches (they keep vanishing). Also need to stop adding more memorial stones, getting a bit cluttered now council. Increasing problem with tents and litter from homeless people. The people have never caused any problems as far as I know, just makes me a bit sad. Are we becoming like America here?

I was a student at University College here, 50 years ago. I'm delighted that Cathays has changed so little in the half century! Its a place where civic (monumental) architecture (City Hall, the Law Courts, National Museum of Wales, University of Wales, the Welsh Office) surrounds neat and tidy gardens. The wind was bitterly cold and the gardens deserted, but pleasant for all that. Well worth a visit.

We thought we would go for a walk from our hotel to the museum, but we found numerous rough sleepers. They were in subways, shop doorways anywhere to get shelter.
A lot of them were begging, though not aggressively as they do in London.
Its a put off, but I guess a sign of the times.

We were here for Graduation and it is a must for photos, very clean and tidy. Cardiff is well blessed with parks and open spaces.

This city park is literally surrounded by the city's most impressive buildings.
The park is well maintained but can get quite busy as it is not huge.
The floral displays are lovely but the highlight for me has to be the impressive Welsh National War Memorial.
