What a great day out. A beautiful location with superb walks and excellent opportunities for picnics in lovely surroundings. With the added benefit of an excellen open air history with fantasticnal buildings from all across Wales. A wonderfu;l, new indoor museum with a good restaurant/cafe. What more do you need!

you can travel from landwade close in fairwater, for a fantastic walk, you have the water on your left a new pathway has been added ,you can take the dog or children as there is so much to see... lush green trees small banks for fishing or just a pit stop.. the path leads to several places you can go to stfagans cross over and strait on which leads behind the old houses, now you will be given two routes one leads on past trees a large pond and gos through a farm which doesnt seem to have signs but you go to the right at the end of this path and thats the best one, i havent had a chance to go the other route but will let you know where it gos when i do... there are nice places to sit for a while if the children are tied and large trees which over shaddow you but lead you down one hell of a path. the other is when you hit stfagans you get on to michealstone road go over the train track and on your left is a walk way through the woods this is an easy walk but to get back out you have to retern from where you got in, it does not go through xx

We have been visiting St fagans all our lives and it never gets boring whether it's a picnic by the lake, wondering around all the different aged houses, the castle, the shops etc it is a true look into Welsh life as it was lived in the past and all staff are very helpful if you have any questions..there is no charge to go into any of the areas of sta fagans all you pay is parking which is £4 all day and if you plan to visit a lot then it's £20 for 12 months which is brilliant.....fabulous day out especially on a dry or sunny day because you can stay all day without getting bored..they often have displays of different work from the past for you to see and there are various events at St fagans thought the year...definatley worth a visit.

Very nice having free entry but i had to pay £3 for parking which defeats the object of free entry as the car is the main form of transport

Great walk for all the family with loads of history on the way. Also cafes along the way or pack a picnic. Free to go inside, just pay for parking.

This is a must visit place. if your in the area you have to visit St.Fagans. firstly the price is right, - it's free! you pay for parking only. secondly - the place is amazing, its huge, its well set out, its informative, it has to be visited. All welsh folk history is here, take a trip through times. We visit a few times a year.Unmissable

It gives a great insight into the years gone by with excellent grounds for walks and picnics. Free parking and a lovely cafe there too selling Welsh food. A lovely day out especially on a warm dry day.

Having been born in Glamorgan 70+ years ago St Fagans was one of those places that one had always wanted to visit but could never fit it in until this year.
To walk along paths and see the history of housing, businesses, farms and the way of life of my countrymen throughout the centuries was truly spell binding. One could remember the changes in the houses, the old fashioned hardware (tin baths etc that my father used when he was a miner) The way in which my ancestors lived and worked on display was both reminder and history lesson. I strongly recommend a visit.
