Everything that a visitor needs in one place. A magical day for everyone with an imagination and sense of fun. A magic castle, an extravagant folly, mysterious woodlands, a well stocked gift shop and best of all a place to sit down for lunch or tea and cake.

This is a hidden gem of a fairy tale castle and it has been used from many films and TC productions. Set in the trees just off the M4 it is very quickly accessable. It is very interesting to learn of its history and also its links to Cardiff Castle and you really won't believe the real age of the... More

I found it really interesting as did my 5 and 6 year old girls. Don't think it would be a great place to go if it was raining as half the enjoyment is the walk there through the woods.

This castles is unusual in its appearance as it looks like something out of a fairy tale with its peaks , drawbridge and surrounding moat truly magical. The inside is just as impressive with its medieval deco and furnishings. Weddings are also carried out there.

Thoroughly enjoyable couple of hours spent exploring this amazing place. We spotted it from the m4 the day before, and were determined to find it. Sat nav worked a treat, although we did drive straight past as we weren't sure you could take vehicles up the drive. Yes, you can - the car park is at the top, not far... More

We were unfortunate in visiting during heavy rain so the dashing about between the staircases was not pleasant and we couldn't look around outside. The rooms were impressive but for a large group navigating round narrow staircases it wasn't easy. The audio guides were also confusing and it was hard to keep to the right order of rooms.
