This castle is a restored, renovated and fantasy castle. Being restored during the Victorian period it has many William Morris and Mackintosh influences. It is a great fun place for youngsters to run and play too as the grounds are beautiful and extensive. There are 3 towers and a dungeon to see. It is well presented and easy even for... More

A very generous friend gifted me a years Cadw membership for my 6 year old son & I, so we've been visiting as many as we can this summer! Castell Coch is undeniably beautiful, nestled amongst the dense woodland on the side of a hill, it looks the picture perfect fairytale castle. It's very well preserved and maintained, and the... This is an amazing place. Looks like a Princess's Palace. But don't be fooled this is tricky place to navigate if you are very small or have problems walking. There are lots and lots of steps. That said it realy is a fascinating place. The rooms on view are spectacularly ornate. Well worth a visit.

Superb attraction that looks like something out of a fairy tale, the none Disney type. The art on the walls inside will take your breath away, and that it deserves the title of a noble home for nobility. Lovely cafe with excellent food and service. Well worth a visit, a day well spent say I.

Gorgeous fairytale castle nestled in woodlands in suburbs of Cardiff. Once owned by Lord Bute, same owner as Cardiff Castle. Children able to do a Q&A educational quiz which takes you all over the Castle. Lovely to visit. Not ideal for disabled as lots of steps/turrets!

Went here with friends, and really enjoyed the day. It was very interesting to walk around and the audio head set made for good listening.

I visited about 20 yrs ago. I took my husband for this recent visit and was not disappointed. A lot of work has gone into the grounds which upon arrival is beautiful. You can see why it's the fairy castle. It is also worth driving past on the motorway at night as it is lit up.
