Having lived near here all my life I stopped off to have some fabulous wedding photos taken on the way to my reception. I always enjoy a visit with my family or just as a couple. Lovely grounds to walk around. The interior is brilliant gives a real insight into how they used to live. A lovely day out.

Amazing sights outside and inside the castle with great information dotted around each room of the castle. Great part of history that has been wonderfully restored and maintained for us to see. Have also visited castle coach for the surrounding woods for walks, dog walks and mountain biking. Lovely day out.

I have never visited a more beautiful place. From the surrounding woods to the spectacular ceilings, I was completely stunned. Maybe it was the fairytale feel to the place or the beautiful history, but if you love visiting castles, definitely visit this one.

This is a wonderful place to visit for a couple of hours just to look around this Victorian romantic take on a castle. It is in need of some maintenance, as some of the elaborate plaster and mouldings are looking a little sad, but you can definitely see what it looked like when in its prime.

We visited this castle on our way to Cardiff and it was definitely worth it if you like Victorian, over-the-top room decoration! It is very reminiscent of Cardiff Castle (unsurprising given the people who worked on it) and a lovely couple of hours viewing. The walks through the grounds to see the abandoned iron mines are worth it too.

I took my wife, son and grandson to visit Castle Coch and was very impressed with the excellent building and its contents, all in outstanding condition and devour. I enjoyed understanding the history of this building and its previous owners and his the building changed over the years. My grandson loved touring the castle and just being in a real... More

First visit to a Castle with our 2yr old Grandson. He loved exploring the rooms, climbing the spiral stone staircases and peering through the windows and holes in the walls. There was a great room for the children to build a castle and do some drawing. The shop was reasonably priced. Spent an exciting morning there and will definitely go... More

Taking American visitors to Castell Coch was very good. Their time was limited but they managed to see everything

great place , reconstructed by a millionaire in a fantasy style. no where to buy food on site but there is a picnicing area. However be warned there are some people who meet on the internet or in the woods behind the castle in order to continue their " friendship "

Some time ago you could buy a 'three castles' ticket to save money on buying tickets when visiting Cardiff Castle, Caerphilly Castle and Castell Coch. It allowed you time to visit all three but it became a word-of-mouth challenge to visit the three castles in a day. This is only do-able if you have your own transport. I recently had... More
