Whilst I was here with my daughter we both learned alot and most of all we were talking alot about the castle, history etc When my daughter was a baby she always called it the Princess castle every time we drove past or talked about. We enjoyed going to all the rooms looking at the old furniture. Long & short... More

I took my nephew here for a visit a few months ago, he is only 9 and loved the walk around. I hadn't been here for a number of years and thoroughly enjoyed the experience myself. We had a nice light bite to eat in the coffee shop, then we popped into the gift shop. I would defiantly recommend a... More

Planned the visit here specifically to see Castle Coch. I didn't realise that it had been so well restored, even the bridge is still in good working order! From the road looking up at it, it's a perfect picture book fairytale castle 😍 The woodland and surrounding hills are a bonus for a hearty walk and getting your hike on... More

A beautiful castle, small but perfect, lovely setting. We used the tea room for lunch and it was great, well worth the small £6.00 entrance fee, we loved it. The staff were both knowledgable, friendly and professional, a real credit to CADW.

I had passed this on the adjacent cycle route on several occasions and never bothered stopping as a fake castle did not appeal to me. However, on visiting I found it an enthralling place, the way the castle is built on medieval foundations and has been made into a spectacular home. The exhibitions are informative. I don't normally like audio... More

This castle is very different from most of the others in Wales and feels like you are stepping into a fairy tale - it is well worth a visit! Can be done in a day with another as part of the CADW Explorer Pass. It helps that it sits on the edge of one of the most beautiful forests I've... More

Castle Coch can be seen from the main road and was a place we always wanted to visit. Set in lovely wooded grounds, the Castle looks impressive and is even more interesting inside. Great rooms with an interesting free audio guide (included in the entry price). We were surprised at the quality of the work and decoration. The visit was... More

Castell Coch is local to me.. Everyone who visits from out of area must come here to sample the ornate and lavish detail of the Marquis of Bute's gothic fantasy. From Aesops fables portrayed on the walls and ceiling of the drawing room to the crystal balls on the beds in the tower, this is every little princesses dream and... More
