No matter what you're here for definitely visit the bay, it's great for evening meals and lovely walks. It's the best in winter, with Christmas lights and events.

Visiting the nearby Wales Millennium Centre, we took time to walk around and explore the Cardiff Bay. Very nice dockside redevelopment of old waterfront. Nice mix of cafes and bars. A rare nice sunny October day!!! One to remember!

Great views. You are able to take the water taxi/Aquabus through to the city from the bay. There are great walks along the bay straight through to the barrage. Plus lots of restaurants and places to visit in the bay.

Plenty of bars in the bay but try the Jazz Cafe in city centre near Castle entrance. Great food and great atmosphere with live music.

Cardiff castle is nice, if you have a car no where beats St Fagans just on the outskirts.
