Spent a morning here whilst in the area. Had a lovely long walk around the bay in the morning sun, it was so nice. Lots of bars, restaurants and cafes...and no doubt would be buzzing of an evening. Going back in a few days and...More

The bay is interesting, many restaurants nearby. There is a walk/bike path all the way around the bay. The bayhas a lock system out to the estuary leading to the sea.

Lovely for evening drinks and food prior to a visit to the Millennium Centre. Nice walks across the barrage to Penarth. Also able to purchase pleasure boat rides and ferry into Cardiff.

The bay isn’t for proper Kardiffians, who would not be seen dead there! Both food, and drinks are overpriced

Expected to find much more, had heard from others how nice it was etc, but in reality just a load of chain restaurants. Nice to sit and watch the power boats racing for a few mins, but not the experience I was expecting.

Plenty of bars in the bay but try the Jazz Cafe in city centre near Castle entrance. Great food and great atmosphere with live music.

Cardiff castle is nice, if you have a car no where beats St Fagans just on the outskirts.
