Could not have expected to have as good a time as we did at the WNO. The theatre is amazing and production outstanding... Never thought I would like the Opera but this was great fun.

I'll start by saying that we like opera, but are not fanatics, we've been to a few all over Europe, but this performance of Puccini's Madam Butterfly was not good. That said, Karah Son was superb in the title role, and held our attention all...More

As a regular opera over this is one of my all time favourite Welsh experiences. Each year supplies a great range of both well known and obscure operas, normally with eight productions over a year long period, though this year , only six which is...More

Outstanding vocal and acting performances and a darkly imaginative production with plenty of humour. Don't miss it if you get a chance.

Being very familiar with the fairy tale and the music, decided to go to see the opera as well. We also left at the interval as we almost fell asleep in the first act. The sets did nothing at all to impress us, and were...More

What a shame the previous reviewer left at the interval. The first half is, admittedly, gloomy - more Tim Burton than Disney - but the second act was pure pantomime and a joy to watch. Still, can't please everyone all the time. As a more...More
