Came to techniquest to do something different from the norm & to relive childhood school trip memories. When we arrived there were three schools there but were told by reception that they would be leaving around 2pm so we went for something to eat first. Came back and was a lot quieter. Just as good as remembered & found ourselves... More

I went here because I was trying to go to what I termed "off the beaten path" attractions (aka not art and history museums) and this didn't disappoint. Yeah, I was the only adult who wasn't a teacher (I was here on a weekday so there were a lot of schools present), but I still had a blast! I liked... More

We had a day at Cardiff Bay it was wet & windy - 4 kids aged 11,10, 6 & 3 - the kids spotted the Techniquest and ran there v excited - we did think we probably won't get long there but it looks great. We went into the venue to see if there was a late entry fee and... More

I’m sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your experience with us. Although we are running a “£3 entry after 2pm” offer on Sundays in 2016, we do not have a permanent reduced-rate after a certain time on other days. The person who you spoke to at our front desk would not have had the ability to change the... More

I visited this place with my 7 year old! What a treat. Spacious and well laid out with hands-on science experiments that explain everything from mechanics to hydraulics to optics to electronics! Children and adults alike will love this place. Reasonable entry price with parking no more than a few minutes walk away. The planetarium is an optional extra, and... More

Visited Techniquest for an adult night and it was a barrel of laughs! It was a very cheap night out, something completely different and their selection of drinks was pretty good too! The activities are great - we turned up just before 8 and managed to get around every thing by the time it shut at 10. Unfortunately arriving late... More

This is a great hands-on museum experience aimed at kids but adults can participate too. It's a great learning experience just be show to read the labels on each exhibit to make your visit worthwhile.

Visited here today with our 3 year old for her birthday and was extremely impressed! We thoroughly enjoyed all the exhibits which were incredibly varied. I'm a science teacher and I really enjoyed all the exhibits. It's incredibly hands on and even our 3 year old enjoyed playing with the different exhibits. I'd highly recommend a visit!

Great place for a few hours fun when it's raining in Cardiff Bay. Lots of interactive exhibits and displays that help children understand the science around them. Optical illusions, puzzles and games are on the upper floor. Really makes learning fun. Fun for the adults too! There is an extra charge if you want to visit the Planetarium.

Visited here today in a group of 4. Three adults and one under three year old. We had a brilliant time. Techniquest is really easy to get to and parking is in a convenient 2 min walking distance from the venue. Only problem was there's no free or discounted parking so after paying £22.50 to get in we had to... More
