Spending the long weekend at Cardiff Bay, I opted to take my daughter to Techniquest. The venue offers lots of great challenges, experiments and tasks for children (and adults) to overcome and learn from. There was also a small planetarium which was mediocre compared to others we've visited. Not quite the large Intech facility, but good for a few hours... More

We enjoyed experiencing the different activities with our 3 year old. It was well set out and caters for a range of ages. It was good to have an inside area for picnics

We went with a nearly 4 year old and a 12 year old and there was plenty for both of them to do. Under fours go free which meant our youngest didn't pay and made it very good value for money for a family of four. There are air pressure experiments, electricity ones, sound ones and some limited stuff on... More

With a school age child, I've only ever visited Techniquest during school holidays, so inevitably it's going to be busy. However, it won't necessarily detract from the experience, as there is so much to see and do, and it's a safe, open environment for kids. It really sparks their imagination, enthusiasm and creativity. As an adult I find much of... More

Always liked by 5yo grandaughter so took her without 3yo brother as he is too young to appreciate. Good free science show. £6 entry for 2 over 65s and a 5yo ok. Cafe prices fair too but limited range: coffee cake cold drinks wraps sandwiches crisps. Found staff helpful and willing to help.

The kids loved this place, so much for them to do, can pick up and play with everything, great fun and learning. We went to the show linked to Roald Dahls books which was brilliant. Would definitely recommend for children under 12, our children are very keen to go back!

Very expensive. Ok for older kids, I'd say 5 and over. Staff weren't particualy nice or helpful. 3 staff on the entrance till and they seemed like it was a massive deal to have to stop talking to serve us. I won't be rushing back

Visited on rainy day in summer holidays so assuming this will be the busiest it ever will be. Kids enjoyed the different exhibits. Loved the water feature!!! Went to the show about science and Roahl Dahl which was really interesting. Even the adults enjoyed!

Recently took the family to try this place and have to say was very pleased we did. Such a fantastic fun place for all ages. The kids loved it, every part of it amazed them and the way it was set up meant they were able to learn on the go. We booked a few of the shows which were... More
