We had a warm welcome from the secretary and had food cooked to order. Fantastic the way that sheep are used to keep the fairway grass down without affecting the greens. Loved it.

If you are in the Bridgend area and you want you play golf look no further than Southerndown. Being on a headland there is always a challenging wind to cope with. Being on the fairway does not garentee a flat lie, the ball can be either above or below your feet with slopes in front and behind the ball. Stray... More

Championship course with fantastic views all round. Friendly staff and delicious catering, well worth a visit. Watch out for the sheep and their deposits!

Had booked with a friend and were welcomed by all staff and the pro shop, course in good condition and an excellent test of golf. The kitchen opened up early so they could give us bacon baps before our tee time - thanks to all who made our day memorable.

Played here in September. Pro fixed me up to play with Society as I was on my own and they were good company. Front 9 parkland, good test, mainly due to wind, and it can blow. Back 9 is links, with really deep stuff just off fairway, slightest shot offline, into the thick stuff and it's reload time. The wind... More

This is a splendid natural championship golf coarse with magnificent views and is a very good test for even the lowest of handicaps on this famous coarse. Fabulous natural surroundings with lots of history and the hospitality and standard of food in the clubhouse is well worth the visit

The course is open to sheep so you do get the usual links problems! That said it is a first class and interesting course. The clubhouse offers some good food and drink to round off your round!
