    Made our summer!
Wonderful day out! My two children were very excited (13 yr old daughter and 10 yr old son) and this trip didn't disappoint. We drove a long way to do this and it was everything we hoped for. The online booking was easy, we had to reschedule due to bad weather, but this was no problem with the organisers. Directions emailed were spot on and we found the farm easily. The views of the Brecon beacons were stunning and the pace of the alpaca was a great way to see the hills. My children would normally moan about doing a walk, but give them an alpaca and they would have walked for many hours more. These creatures are so beautiful and calming! The staff were very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. The staff were also very welcoming with all the members of the group young and old. On a practical note: Plenty of car parking, proper toilets and hand washing all on site. Local common land nearby for picnics. It's not the cheapest day out, but worth it. Having since looked into other alpaca farm nearer to home the prices are the same, but the views at Alpaca My Boots are simply incredible.

Great day out walking with lovely alpacas in the Brecon hills
Absolutely loved this experience. The team were friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. We were introduced to our alpacas, who were real characters! My friend and I had the pleasure of walking with Reg and Elvis 🦙🦙. We had a quick introduction and then off we went. A beautiful walk through the Brecon hills to a fantastic view point! When we returned to the farm we had the chance to feed the herd of alpacas, who really loved this part of the day 😄 I would highly recommend this fun filled day out!

    Tick off the bucket list
My wife absolutely loves Alpacas... so when I spotted this near where we were staying while eating supper the night before our visit we just had to book it there and then. We didn't realise that this is a relatively new venture and we were thrilled to be able to take part. We turned up at the designated booking time and my wife quickly phoned just to make sure. I mean who books a walk with Alpacas on the first weekend in January. Thankfully all was OK and we were met by the owner. He quickly rounded up some Alpacas for us to choose from for the walk. They were lovely creatures. very well mannered with quite a character. We had a lovely walk to the trig point at the top of the hill while chatting with the very friendly and knowledgeable owner. My wife was grinning like crazy and we had a fantastic time. I was quite taken by these strange creatures too. All in all a wonderful experience we'll never forget for our 7th Anniversary get away.

    Brilliant lockdown respite
I had no idea what to expect today, our first ‘outing’ since March. Alpacas are wonderfully gentle creates, different personalities and they love some attention. The walk had stunning views of the Brecon Beacons. Everything was well organised and our host, Nick (the farmer) was friendly and knowledgeable. As a novel day out, well worth a try. It’s just simple, no frills, honest fun.

A great, memorable and happy experience
Absolutely wonderful experience. We cam here for my mum's birthday (Happy Birthday Ma) and each one of us was given an alpaca to take for a walk. We were advised and guided through the whole experience. There was no nervousness with being so close to an animal, the guide helped keep us moving and I think that by the end of the walk we all wanted to take our alpacas home with us. After the walk, we were all given the opportunity to feed all the apacas. What wonderful bedlam that was! The personalities of the creatures were clear to see and by the end of the day we all felt we'd made a woolly friend! The staff are friendly, chatty and they're both willing and able to answer any questions we had. I strongly recommend this activity if you're looking for something short, fun and memorable.

    Alpaca trek
Visited with our 7 year old. Met by the owners who were lovely and friendly and gave us a brief and informative introduction to alpacas, along with simple handling instructions. There was about 30 or so people (20 adults and 10 children) leading about 20 or so alpacas. I had an alpaca and my 7 year old and husband had one. Lovely 3/4 mile or so trek to the top of the till and the same way down. About an hour trek. Thoroughly enjoyable and would most certainly recommend.

The Best Hike You'll Ever Go On!
My sister booked this for us both when we went to the Brecon Beacons for a holiday, and it was EASILY the best part of our entire week. We arrived a little early having travelled by public transport (it is a bit of a walk from the nearest bus stop along the main road for half a km, then up a steep single lane road), but were greeted really nicely by the super friendly staff. Quite a few people were there, but we all got an alpaca each, with clear instructions on how to treat them and what to expect. I walked with Reg, and my sister with Elvis. The alpacas were so gentle, and the staff incredibly knowledgeable about them. The hike is not strenuous, but it is uphill for half of it, and I would recommend sturdy footwear, and get ready for your alpaca to have a few snacks along the way! The views from the top of the hill are INCREDIBLE, and there's plenty of opportunity to take photos! Feeding the alpacas after was great fun too, being able to interact with different alpacas after the hike was nice. At the end one of the staff even gave us a lift down to the main road, so we didn't have to walk as far to get back to the bus stop! I would 100% go back again, and will continue to recommend it so highly to anyone doing to the Brecon Beacons soon!
Thank you for the great review. We are pleased that you enjoyed your alpaca encounter and appreciated the beautiful location and found our staff helpful. We look forward to seeing you again soon.

I booked this experience for my daughter and partner for an xmas present. unfortunately we noted that the voucher had expired a couple of days after we tried to book.Totally our fault I admit but it was due to unforeseen circumstances the date was missed . I contacted the owners to explain who said they would take 10 pounds off if we booked again but they were adamant they would not let us use voucher Like I said it was our fault but we felt this was poor customer service for the sake of a couple of days and due to our circumstances.. very pety of them and dissappinting for us. wwould have been nice if they xould have bwen a little more understanding

This was our 2nd trip to walk with Nick and his team, along with the friendly and easy to guide Alpacas. The scenery is amazing and out of Lord of the Rings. We had such fun walking and feeding the Alpacas I would definitely recommend as an experience even with young children, ours are 5 and 10 years of age.
