I'm a member of the gym and while I love the gym facilities *the gym's changing rooms feel very clean and modern* however the pool's changing facilities are a completely different story. I took some aquafit classes and while the classes themselves are fun with brilliant instructors, the pool's changing area is absolutely vile, always seems to smell of faeces or urine and feels extremely unsanitary. But to the staff's credit, after I informed them they took care of the problem promptly. But I think there needs to be a modern solution to this issue that doesn't involve staff members constantly hosing down the changing rooms. Not only that, the facilities are rarely used. I would love to relax in the jacuzzi while waiting for my class to start, rather than the main pool which is often full, but the jacuzzi is rarely open, which is a huge disappointment. *I actually have never seen the slide in use either and the rapids just a handful of times so kids are always in the main pool which makes it difficult swim breadths for those of us who can't swim long distances or in deep water* I am actually considering cancelling my aquafit classes because it's just too revolting to change in those changing rooms and there's nowhere to relax/wait before the class starts. I really wish they'd modernise the pools in the same way they have done with the gym/cafe.

Visited here with friends and children, lovely place, really reasonable price and great for a couple of hours. Staff really pleasant . Would have given 5 stars but found the pools a bit chilly . Son loved the slide!

pointless to use card readers to enter, you have to stand in an idiotic line just to scan the card. thinking in this country hurts as it can be seen, and it is enough to set the gate to open after scanning the card.

Would not recommend coming here if your under 16 to use the gym as they make you have a gym induction and then you proceed to come to use the gym and then are told you cannot use it on certain days unless they you have an adult with you at all times. Should've been clearer when giving the induction to what days you can and cant use the gym and if you needed someone with you.

My daughter and her friend had their 10 year old Birthday party here Jan 15th 2022. They had the best time ever after such a long time of not being able to be together we all enjoyed a brilliant evening. They had the pool and inflatables to themselves. All the staff we very accommodating, the food was excellent and all facilities brilliantly clean. All the parents and children had a fabulous time and we will definitely be back to Wrexham Waterworld!!!

Great facility for all. 3 pools for all levels and added bonus of rapids. Plenty of changing rooms which were clean and the floors were constantly being kept dry. Friendly and helpful staff throughout.

I regularly attend the ladies only swimming sessions on Monday and it disappoints me how the shower facilities and changing rooms let the whole place down. The pool itself is fab, the hot tub is always on and lovely to use. Spacious inside. The rapids section never seems to be open, and I think if we are paying for a full session we should have access to that. My main concern is the showers, I hate having a shower there, it’s so dated, you have to keep pressing the button in, and the water that comes out is so weak, like a trickle. They should really invest in updating this and it would encourage myself and other people to return. On a positive note I really like the updated reception and cafe look.

Once again the floor and walls covered in clumps of hair, dirty floors, used nappy on floor, no water pressure from the ridiculous showers, half the changing room blocked off so after spending 35 minutes in pool would have thought that at least one half of changing rooms would be clean - NO - at least after complaining last time that there was no hook in shower cubicle to hang up towel they finally put one in! I urge the public to complain to Freedom Leisure each time they come upon these unacceptable conditions we deserve better!

Visited this venue today water was very good all activities were open Staff and Cafe were lovely and welcoming. Sadly the changing facilities were in need of an update lockers with broken straps unable to lock some of the lockers . Had to move my things several times until I found one that would work . Showers although modern were slow and took a while to wash off the soap . So disappointed , as we had been told it had been updated recently but that must have been the cafe only which I couldn’t fault .

The Freedom cafe is part of the Waterworld Leisure Centre in the heart of Wrexham. I didn't use the Leisure facilities on my recent visit but stopped off for a coffee instead.
Great choice of snacks and Costa Coffee is served to stay in or takeaway.
There was a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere and the staff were helpful and friendly. It's quite spacious and uncluttered making it accessible for wheelchairs and families with prams/pushchairs.
