A beautiful home full of interesting history. Quite dark inside due to protecting all the historical items in there and stairways to climb inside the house so need to be able to climb stairs. Fascinating history inside the house and gardens are beautiful. Staff are...More

Just a short visit and would have liked it to be longer in order to take advantage of the lovely walks around the place. Gardens well laid out and very attractive at this time of year with the tulips and spring flowers.

We enjoyed our trip here and will return in future. We didn't get chance to go into the house because you have to leave the pram in the foyer and our little one was asleep. I can understand why this is given the age of...More

The house and gardens were fantastic, my only reservation was 'the way in'. The entrance through the servants quarters was strange, although, the photos of the servants on the walls was refreshing, they were really appreciated by the family. After going through the house which...More

This place never ceases to amaze me. It’s a fabulous day out and there’s always something a bit new on to entertain the kids. The roap swing is by far the best we’ve ever been on. Take a picnic.
