North Wales Adventure Sightseeing Day Trip from Liverpool

39 reviews
The sights and scenery of North Wales are tricky to explore from Liverpool without a rental car. Rather than string together train and bus journeys; choose this full-day tour for the benefit of comfortable minivan transport and a guide for background on the sights. Walk Llandudno’s pier, follow hidden roads through Snowdonia, visit Conwy Castle, and more; and discover this beautiful corner of Britain without a care in the world.

I live near Erddig estate and never tire of looking around the house. They sometimes do a “behind the scenes” tour which gives a sneaky look into areas the general public don’t. The apple festival is great too. Wolf den for the kids is a great little adventure park with a brilliant rope swing which adults can enjoy. Lovely and knowledgeable staff too. The wider area around Erddig has great walks, beautiful scenery and fresh air.

Pre-booked tickets for 10am entry, easy to find and plenty of parking. Friendly staff/volunteers, easy to navigate this beautiful gardens that are so well planned. Plenty of colour, formal lake with reflections, the changing of the guard(sunny day with the Autumn colours showing), and extensive walks. Beautiful house but at present remains closed. Facilities available, we used the restaurant on arrival for hot chocolate and cakes.

Just a short visit for a walk in the woods with our dog and popped in to the shop. All safety regulations in place and very efficient staff. We didn't have our usual. coffee and snack because there was a queuing system which is quite understandable in the present circumstances. There were lots of people taking advantage of the grounds and lovely to see them out and enjoying themselves. We did come cross a couple of sites ( and this is not a criticism of the NT) where lazy people had not cleared up their rubbish and I didn't have any bags to put the beer cans etc in and I wasn't going to touch other peoples dirty rubbish with my bare hands. This is such a shame because the NT and its volunteers do such a wonderful job to keep this place maintained. It was the first time we have come across this on many years of visiting.

A national trust property so need to book in advance. House still not open due to covid. Grounds and gardens were excellent with many plants still in flower. Plenty of areas to walk with kids. Small play area. Worth a visit even though house was shut. Drinks and limited food available in small cafe.
