On 15 June 2016 a friend and I were eagerly looking forward to hearing Russell Watson singing live (amazing) in the William Aston Hall, Wrexham and arrived about 7.00 to ensure a parking spot. We couldn't believe our eyes when we arrived in the reception area. It was crowded with people standing around, sitting on the stairs, twitching from foot... More

Thank you for your comments and I understand the frustration which has occurred due to the waiting time before this show. The show was advertised with doors being 7:30PM for the show to start at 8:00PM, unfortunately we cannot anticipate what volume of people will arrive at what time but usually people will arrive at or just before door time... Great place for a concert and not to big. Would go again to see another artist. Also been to see a pantomime here which was also fantastic.

For a venue that regularly hosts comedians and concerts, a little more organisation wouldn't go amiss. The queueing arrangements for pre-gig drinks was a disaster and there really is nowhere to comfortably enjoy a drink. Perhaps some seating? First half was as brilliant as expected but then there was the nightmare of visiting the toilets. Again, no organisation skills in... More

Night out with friends. Great show. Tickets were booked online. Plenty of parking spaces. Their website could be improved by providing a synopsis for their events.

I ventured into this place on Saturday, after a mate gave me his spare Chas & Dave ticket. I was really impressed with the set up and thought the seats were comfy and spacious. I joined in with the sing songs, and was delighted that dave signed me programme during the interval. I wasn't overly impressed with the Bar, as... More

Very popular venue for comedians. Seen many shows here, from comedy - musical - panto. Easy to book your tickets. Website not as good as it used to be. Unable to click on a show and read the synopsis anymore.

William Aston Hall now having lots of high profile acts which are touring Britain and visiting Wrexham for the first time. Giving local people a chance to see very good acts which has not been possible before. Prices are also slightly lower than the bigger venues, making it more affordable. We have seen acts which we probably would not have... More

My wife and I went to hear a Motown tribute group. Whose performance was amazing. A good evening that was only spoilt by the lack of good interval facilities, the toilets for disabled etc... were fine. However, the refreshments were very poor. I don't put this down to a one off, as on our last visit before this we (months... More

The term Hall does not do the venue justice, it is so much more than you would expect. I have visited umpteen theatre's over the years and some don't even come close to WAH. A great performance space with comfortable seating (if a little academic), nice waiting area with bar area. Only downside was, as you would expect with an... More
