We were looking for a relatively easy walk around the lake as we have two 12 year old dogs. We were advised that the walk would be no trouble and that it would take approx 2 hours. We set off towards the bottom of the lake on the Llanberis side and whilst it was flat there wasn't much view of the lake. When we reached the bottom end we set off along the other side only to find we were walking on a road heading quite a way from the lake with not many views of it and going along way uphill. It took a lot longer than expected and the post markers are quite difficult to locate in the woods. We won't be recommending it as an easy stroll. Be prepared for a hike!

Came here to view the lonely tree. Was a beautiful view, and did not disappoint as we witnessed a man fall off this paddle board in to the lake. (Man was not harmed)

Another enjoyablel 6 mile walk around this beautiful location - we never tire of this. Every year we visit North Wales and every year, this walk is on our 'to do' list. The scenery is stunning (lake, woods, Snowdon) and the walk provides you with a range of excellent views and photo opportunities. The walk is moderate difficulty with some uphill in parts but it is not a busy walk so you can enjoy the solitude and quietness. There are frequent seats/benches to stop and rest or eat your packed lunch. As this route is circular, you can park at any point along the side roads/car parking areas rather than in Llanberis. Take a picnic, take your time and enjoy the beautiful Snowdonian scenery.

A great area for people to use the facilities and get the most out of this wonderful place, good to see people swimming and using the area to its full extent. From a photographic point of view its got one of the greatest views in the UK.

We stayed a few days in Llanberis and spent many hours walking or cycling beside the lake. No matter what time of day the lake always looked beautiful and presented lots of great photo opportunities.

I wish I had taken my costume so I could get in with my daughter.

The water was filled with canoes, kayaks, paddle boards, swimmers, row boats. The views were just beautiful too. What a perfect little place to spend the day in the sunshine!!

We stayed at Llanberis and this beautiful village has lots to offer families, walkers and those who enjoy physical activity. We recommend; Snowdon Mountain railway, hiring a kayak or paddle from Snowdonia watersports and a visit to the Slate museum and a trip along the lake on the steam railway
