We happened to notice on the car park sign that there was supposed to be a castle just up the hill, and we are so glad we went to explore. The climb is a little challenging for those who are not too fit or mobile...More

Despite a wet and windy day we enjoyed visiting the castle. Narrow steps going to the top of the castle...tricky due to weather conditions. Great views and quiet location.

Magical is the word to describe this old ruin. Beautiful setting to sit and contemplate the past and all who have gone before us.

Found this old castle having gone for a walk in our hotel’s grounds, so was an unexpected bonus. Good place to get some photos of the lakes and nice bit of old Welsh history.

A very small castle which is worth a quick visit. Not a lot to see but interesting none the less. It is free and only a short walk from the national slate museum.

It is well worth the effort in climbing up the hill to the castle which has superb views over both lakes.

A ruind castle within walking distance of the cheapest carpark in Llanberris, just behind the lake railway. .For a little more excercise, the castle is on the edge of some beautifull woodland, excellent for dog walking.

Pass the Snowdon Mountain Railway on your left, then turn next right. The best car park to visit the castle is down this lane on the left - see my photo of the car park sign. You’ll need £4 in cash for the parking meter....More
