St Michael Old Church is apparently the oldest building in Betwys-y-Coed and is well worth seeking out. To get there you go to the railway station, cross the bridge to the Railway Museum and the church is just across the road. There are two Lychgates,...More

Was very interesting inside and spent quite a while looking all round, very old and quite small. There was a very ancient yew tree in the churchyard.

As the title suggests I was in here to take shelter from the rain, I was able o enjoy the architecture and the history of the building which was fascinating.

A gorgeous little church steeped in history.. I wandered through the church yard , it's so beautiful with the sunlight reaching through the trees, a peaceful place to wander and contemplate , I'll definitely return

Quaint little church just slightly off the beaten track. Lots of information available on the history, restoration and interesting features within.

We walked through the grounds on our way to our river walk each day, but even in doing this, the history of the church was plain to see. The oldest gravestone I spotted was dated 1696.... anyone found any older??
