Fabulous experience. Matthew was a brilliant guide - informative, encouraging and reassuring. His calm approach to each of the sections enable the 'Oldies' group to complete every challenge: a great sense of achievement. The 'Youngsters' weren't able to keep up!

What an amazing day we had at the Go Below Extreme underground adventure on the 9/5/17 Definitely the scariest thing I have ever done but was sooooo much fun and will definitely do it again. Our Guides Elton, Sonija and Aron were amazing and we learnt a lot about the history of the mine which was very interesting. I Highly... More

Me and 2 mates did the ultimate extreme trip on 9-5-2017. The trip was the best and scariest thing I have ever done. The activities that you do underground are challenging but a lot of fun. The free fall jump is as scary as it looks. Our guides Elton, sonjia and Aaron were great. Be prepared for cheese jokes if... More

Fantastic experience My brother-in-law booked this after speaking to a couple of work colleagues had said how great it was, and it was. We invited ourselves along which turned into a group of 10. Was so glad we did! We opted for the Extreme Challenge and this turned out to be a mixed bag. We were met by Sonjia and... More

Just returned from my Stag-Do in Wales and the highlight was the trip to Go Below. Mick and Aaron really catered for a group of ten lads on a Stag and we highly recommend it! We learnt a lot and pushed ourselves, some of the group were unsure of themselves and whether they could complete certain sections but all finished... More

Had an absolutely fab time on this experience. The tour guides were very knowledgeable on the mines where we completed the experience and made the group feel comfortable and safe when completing all challenges. My partner and I will be booking the Extreme Challenge which I cannot wait for!

Brilliant visit - really gave good idea of the massive scale of underground mining operations, how they worked and how much rock has been taken out the ground. Elton and Jason gave us a fantastic day out; exciting, safe, lots of background info and extra jokes thrown in as well. Total round trip time about 6 hours, loads of traverses... More

What a truly unique experience. We did the ultimate extreme underground adventure in the slate mines. I won't say too much so not to spoil the trip but your guides are vastly experienced, and very knowledgeable of the area and mines. You'll learn a lot of history in between traversing narrow beams across pitch black caverns, climbing and abseiling, rolling... More

This is an amazing place for fun for all ages, my three mid twenty year olds loved it, and the weather does not affect your experience in any way as it is all underground. Great idea.

we went as a family & friends visit with children aged 7. children were kitted out in the blue overalls and hard hats and the adults just went for the hard hat option. putting the children in the overalls was a good choice as there are a few puddles underground and they did get a bit splashed etc. our guide...
