Fantastic experience, with the spa , the package included a lite lunch in the “the tavern on the bay” which was excellent.
In the spa we had the freedom of the pool ( sadly the sauna wasn’t working ) then we had a face , shoulders , arms and head massage and pampering, something new for a 60 year old man , but it was very relaxing , the staff are a credit to their uniforms.
Thank you

A large bay that's well worth visiting. As everywhere parking can be a problem but find the little roads down and enjoy what you can. Delightful views and places to call your own.

We stopped off at the bay for the views and to get a coffee at one of the two pubs. Had a relaxing time sitting on a sea wall looking at the scenery and watching the boats. The two pubs seemed popular and we had a good service when getting our take away drinks. Lovely location to visit.

We had a lovely afteroon walking and a brilliant meal at the Ship Inn. The service was polite and nothing too much trouble. Family used to visit in 1930s and the staff gave us the history of the building. Thank you for a happy memory. You may need to be patient at busy times waiting for a parking spot.

We walked from Benllech to Red wharf on a couple of occasions. It’s a most enjoyable walk when the tide is in retreat and the sun is out. It’s quite hard to believe how far the tide actually goes out of this bay. Be mind full how quickly the tide returns, we just made the point at St David’s having to scramble over the rocks to the Sandy bay that ajoins Benllech beach when the tide is out. When the tides in you can use the coastal path from Benllech to Red Wharf Bay but in July was becoming overgrown to the limited use. At either end you do get the option of several places to take lunch have a drink and spend a penny.

Visited on 2 nights. Fri & Sat. Fri was inside as the weather was terrible. All good.served at table by a very lovely young guy. Service very very quick and efficient. Works like a well oiled machine.
Ordered Falafal & prawn cocktail. Both were excellent. The Falafel came with beetroot humous loved it.
Mains- the jumbo fish & chips and the special hi Ken, & sweetcorn pie, with mash & veg. Absolutely loved it. I was so hungry and this delivered.
Yum yum.
Sat night we had to seat outside as the inside was shut. It was cold. So not too happy. Service again was very quick and could not be faulted. Again had falafel & whitebait both were delicious.
Mains beef chilli & veg curry. The chilli was good but am the curry lacked. I cannot understand why this happens so much. Make a curry taste like a curry with spice & depth. PKEASE. However the veggies were all good and not over cooked and abundant.
2 drinks , dinner done and left as getting bit chily & very limited outdoor heaters none of which were near us!

Lovely pub and nice staff.

Blighted by the nonsense daft Covid rules but that's applicable for all pubs.

Food is good and beer is well kept.

Be aware, pub shuts at 8pm in the week. Not sure why really, seems an odd decision as surely would get the business.

Nice beach with some rockpooling
Good cafe on front
Not the best beach we've been to on Anglesey
Couldn't reach forest from there to see red squirrels
Parking
The coastal walk from there is disappointing going thru caravan park
