After been derelict for over 10 years, Holyhead Market Hall has been fully refurbished to accommodate new uses and to create a long term sustainable end use for building. The project ensures a sustainable future, respecting and celebrating the Market Hall’s heritage. Needed to print off, sign and then scan a document whilst on holiday. The lady who assisted me was very helpful and friendly, couldn’t have asked for better service, thank you.

This photo is of the former library. It has moved to the old Market in an expensive renovation over the last year.

I went here to use the computers, as was away and needed internet access. The ladies were very helpful and patient with me and answered all of my questions.

Disappointing visit to the library in Holyhead
Jan 2018 • Solo
I have read the outstanding reviews about the library in Holyhead and it is almost as if they are writing about somewhere else. The first time I visited the library, an old age pensioner's tea party was taking place next to the area where the computers are located and study area. I drove there as where I live is a nightmare. The neighbours dogs never stop barking, so I was looking forward to having some peace and quiet to do my studying. No such luck! I lasted there about 15 minutes and gave up and left. The second visit it just felt like a drop in centre, there were people using the library to get warm. There were a lot of tutting from people as they were obviously there for the same reason as me, to study, so unfortunately in Holyhead it is being misused by certain people.

I'm a summer visitor to Anglesey and having signed up for a library ticket years ago I really enjoy a visit to the various libraries on the island. I particularly like the library at Rhosneigr but the ones at Menai Bridge and Cemaes are perfect for rainy days. There's access to the internet available and plenty if books which aren't available from Amazon :)

I love visiting this library, I've been going since I was a child, and never fail to find the book I'm looking for,
The staff are always really helpful and friendly.
If the old market building will be made into a new library for town, a part of me will be quite disappointed. Does it mean that our current library will be closed down? I hope not!

We needed information about the location of various outlets, shops, banks, the nearest post office. Also other information to assist us to make the most of our time in Anglesey. A visit to the library in Holyhead solved all these issues, the staff were very helpful.
