Walk with a History
Sep 2021 • Friends
We noticed these on our way to the lighthouse and stopped to have a look afterwards. It's a lovely walk and you can do the whole length and back in an hour, it's a dead end so you basically do a massive loop. Lovely walk and you learn something along the way!

Interesting visit
Aug 2020
A lovely walk on our way to Stack lighthouse. A misty day so the moors looks spooky. Very dramatic. Very near the road so not far at all to walk and an easy walk. There is an information board telling you a little about them but use your imagination to feel the past. Lovely find. Parking right opposite the gate.

Really interesting site with so much history and so well preserved. Very easy to access and to think how harsh life would have been. Great site and must see

Atmospheric and powerful.

If you're interested in the history of our ancestors and enjoy archaeological sites, these sites are highly recommended if you are visiting Ynys Mon. As an added bonus for those with children, there is a lighthouse and a cafe /shop not far away. Warning, if you call from your mobile phone it may link to a signal in Ireland!

NOT A LOT TO SEE
Nov 2018 • Family
On the way to South Stack the circle can be found just off the road. Obviously interesting archaeologically but there is not a lot to see and little explanation for the visitor, worth a short visit while in the area.

Must Visit
Jul 2018 • Family
This is a fantastic and interesting places to visit and near to cafe, splendid views and walks. This sight offers an insight to early settlement and how they lived. Needs more development but this is my subjective opinion only and does not distract from my must visit. The sight offers excellent views of Holyhead mountain. There is a nearby parking facility. Disabled access can be developed further.

Marvellous place to play
Aug 2018 • Family
Stayed next door and found this gem of a place for the kids to play. Capture the flag, wallow talkie games at night time, famous five eat your heart out!

Ahem. and pretty interesting for the grown ups too...

Feel of the Past
Aug 2018 • Couples
The ancient stone circle remains of the huts are impressive. They overlook the sea, and really give a feel of the past.

This is a fairly big complex, but the lower huts are easy to access. There is parking at a small car park directly opposite them, and after crossing the small road, the closest hut circle is only about 50 paces from a farm gate. The next is a similar distance further up the path.

I found the stone rings, and what I assume to be hearth stones great reminders of our heritage.

Interesting pre-historic stones etc
Aug 2017 • Family
We visited as part of a full days trip to the lighthouse, cliffs etc. Plenty of parking though can be full high (even mid) season. The area is nice walking and the stones are interesting although not of the same over-whelming nature as those elsewhere in Britain. Still well worth visiting.
