Not exactly an attraction but a quite special memorial remembering an astonishing number of lives lost.

Wow - this really makes you think!
I stood there for ages and thought.
Then I went for a bag of chips.

Wandering through Holyhead, found the war Memorial - while not outstanding in any architectural way, it is always gratifying to see others sacrifices remembered.

I can't recall ever reviewing a war memorial before, and not sure that you could really call this an "attraction", although sadly I felt there was little else memorable of note in Holyhead. Even the famed St.Cybi's Church was closed.
I do remember the memorial though. I always make a point of looking at the names of the fallen, just in case there are any unusual names from my own ancestry, but in this case no. The memorial itself looks well cared for and a fine tribute to the men of Holyhead who paid the ultimate price.
