This beautiful place is spoilt by scousers and other pond life with their drinking swearing and littering. Avoid and head futher into the Dee valley to find better and unspoilt places to relax.

Just outside Llangollen is the Horseshoe Falls a beautiful spot with a few walks taking you through some breathtaking countryside. A word off warning the Carpark is not huge and can be full with canoeists. We were lucky and managed to get parked.

A lovely open area with a low waterfall that gives up a good views. Good for a nice walk through the woods to the small church or the other way along the river and under the arch bridge.

Lovely, compact small town with lots of eateries, small outdoor market in car park & the usual gift shops. Over the bridge at the end of highstreet, take the steps (quite steep) or walk up the road to the canal boats wharf for a gentle...More

The town is an absolute delight with lots of great small shops, its like travelling back in time to a much slower pace of life. We visited the horseshoe falls on a lovely sunny day, very understated and not actually a waterfall, still worth a visit.
