This is by a long way the most iconic building in Bangor and is well worth the walk along College Road to visit. Not sure if it is open to the public but we walked into main PJ hall and looked around. 50 years ago was student here and how good to visit without the worry of academic finals. Fantastic... More

Taking advantage of the Open Doors season we visited The Main Arts building where we given a fascinating tour of The Main University building by Mr David Roberts, we followed this by visiting The Bramble Building. Both buildings are normally not available for visiting so to have this opportunity was brilliant.

After visiting a number of universities with my daughter. This one stands out and for many reasons. As a parent you need to know where your child is going to live and grow for three or four years. Both my daughter and I agreed that she made the best decision coming here. It's within a place of outstanding natural beauty... More

This building gives a real sense of the history of Bangor and the institution. It has oustanding features and great views despite the need to climb steps to fully view and trees hiding the building from the road.

We arrived at Bangor to stay at the University for two nights in order for two teams to climb Snowdon, whilst carrying two wheelchairs with their disabled occupants. The University is immense, finding the accommodation office caused us a couple of problems but once we got our bearings we found it all easily. The rooms are very reasonably priced and... More

Bangor University is so lovely, the buildings are amazing, the staff are lovely and the surroundings are beautiful. Having lived here for a couple of years I am still amazed by the views. I have loved my course and can't wait until I go back in September.

Friendly, open and honest presentation of university ethos, courses and student life. Not over-blown unlike other open days attended.
