Coffee and views, but that's about it
Mar 2020
Situated between the Hugh Owen Library and Student Union on Penglais Campus, this arts centre affords superb views of the coast fro its elevated position. There always appears to be something on here.

So why the low score? Well, the reason I went there today was for breakfast and I was somewhat disappointed. The only real breakfast items for sale were cold sandwiches and a bacon roll. So I went for a bacon roll with my coffee, thinking that it would be warm. I was wrong, the bacon roll was stone cold. The refrigerated sandwiches would have probably been warmer.

It's busy and there are lots of children running around because of the dance classes, so I make my way to the quieter section and sit at a table. I finally get to tuck in to my cold roll when I realise the table is sticky than a sticky toffee pudding! How often do they clean the cafe or at least wipe the tables clean? The only redeeming features of this trip were the coffee and views.

Great place, shame about the seats
Mar 2020
Show was brilliant, but if you aren't a child, don't book seats on Row U in the balcony, because you can't sit down, I have had more leg room in the cheap seats on an aeroplane! They should stipulate that there is limited legroom in these seats, it was a very uncomfortable evening, Had to sit sideways with my legs out on the steps all night!

Wonderful Arts Centre for young and old alike.
Aug 2019
Interesting art exhibits by amateurs and established artists, wonderful cafe, first run and cult movies, dance, theatre, music. Very cool gift shop, book shop, and a spirit of joy and learning for all ages from children to seniors.
Have seen many wonderful Art shows there, I'm especially fond of the student installations for the artists of tomorrow. Wonderful.

Interesting exhibitions
Jun 2019
Interesting exhibitions in the art galleries, changed regularly, always worth a visit. Good self service cafe, gift shop and large bookshop. Located on part of the Aberystwyth University site so has a campus feel to it. Paid parking a short walk away.

Nice venue shame about the noise.
Aug 2019
I went to Aber Arts Centre to see a film. The cinema was spotless and the sound level was good (I didn't leave feeling like my ears were bleeding). The cafe staff were polite, efficient and there was a marvellous array of cakes on display. The downside is the reception / cafe area, the acoustics are dreadful, the voices of all the other clientele reverberate around the cavernous space and it can be very difficult to hear what staff and companions are saying. A lovely venue, shame about the noise.

Went to watch daughter playing in the primary proms with the Ceredigion music service. Have been before and enjoyed it, the music staff put on a great performance cominbed with the talents of all of the county's musical students. What a great night and opportunity for those who may never experience another of these. Keep it up, and if you get the chance to watch our talented young people - please put along to watch.

May 2019 • Family
We got there, but out performance had been cancelled, so we got tickets to another performance and were given a FREE lunch which was amazing: BEST FISH PIE - that I have had in ages. We looked round all the exhibitions and had a great time in the woods and gardens. Thank you for being great hosts: we loved seeing 2 shows this half term and they were both great!!! No where else put on any half term fun, but this was GREAT!!!! We will be back soon.
