This is how all cinemas should be. For those that can't stand the extortionately high prices of conworld, oh sorry, cineworld, this place is amazing. Traditional style cinema experience with prices at around a fiver per person, can't complain with that! Bags of popcorn also start at just £1 each. Love, love, love that there is a break between the... More

I love the Commodore. It's such an old fashioned place, full of character unlike those multiplex things, where the price of the tickets are twice as much for watching the same film. It's got the atmosphere of an old 1940s picture house - caters to my sense of nostalgia. The sound quality isn't bad, though the seating is a little... More

This place is a disgrace to Aberystwyth. It's small, smelly, dirty and uncomfortable. It really lets the town down and needs a total refurb or demolishing! What's with the hatch too!

This an old fashioned cinema. Love going here as it takes you back in time. Non of the fancy cinema stuff here. Tickets, popcorn and an interval with a tuck shop at the bottom of the cinema with ice cream pop and sweets served. Love it!!!

Took me back to my youth! Went to see Bridget Jones's baby on the first night. It was almost full with a capacity of 410 that isn't bad. Good atmosphere. Very cheap at £5 a ticket. It also has a bar! Seats were comfortable , it smells a bit musty! But that adds to the nostalgic feel! BRILLIANT EXPERIENCE!

This cinema is by far and away the very best place I have ever seen a film. From the basement bar to the auditorium concessions stand, this was vintage heaven. I really hope some modern monstrosity of a Cineworld/UGC/whatever doesn't come to Aberystwyth and ruin this wonderful place. Good value too!

I've really got nothing but praise for this little independent cinema! My partner had been there many years ago to see a film so i visited on recommendation, I can tell you it certainly didn't disappoint. I will admit the outside didn't inspire much confidence and the regular car park was also out of use as construction work was taking... More

love this place, not pretentious in any way, the prices reflect that, better than going to these high tech over priced cinemas

While the film was Rubbish, this little cinema in the town us a wee gem! Only one screen and I think 2 films a day but the price was great (£6 for 3D) little bar area cheap beer. And before the film started the lights went up and they started selling ice creams from the side of the stage amazing... More

The Commodore Cinema in Aberystwyth is situated in Bath Street in the centre of town. Although it's a fairly old cinema with just one screen, it does show one of the latest films each week. The surround sound is very good and it makes for a good night out especially if the weather is not too good.
