Step into what remains of a secret wartime air base, now our Visitor...

Step into what remains of a secret wartime air base, now our Visitor Centre, where thousands of people lived and worked in the 1940s. Walk through a masterpiece in landscape design, which is 'Capability' Brown's very first, which has been painstakingly restored for over 18 years from what was once a lost and overgrown 18th century parkland. Explore the park and lakeside to find out what conservation project we're working on this year.

Find Croome Court, the home of the Earls of Coventry, at the heart of the park which has been patiently waiting for its revival. Its time has come this year as the faded house is repaired and reserviced to be able to open up all four floors in 2016. This year explore two floors of un-restored spaces, see what the builders are working on and climb the scaffold for a cup of tea on Sky Cafe.

After visiting RAF Defford, we took a buggy to Croome park. Only looked at the ground floor, not at all impressed with the tapestries and wall coverings. However, the gardens were beautiful. Designed by Capability Brown, we really enjoyed having a stroll around them.

This was a return visit after 4 years and my what change have happened since then! There is more parking spaces and on our visit half of England were visiting too. The eating and drinking areas are so much improved though the basement tea café in the main house needs cheering up. We hate paper cups for teas and coffees,... More

Probably one of the most tranquil estates I've ever visited. The garden walk is great for a stroll and so large that even though there were many visitors it felt like we were alone. The outside of the house is magnificent but the inside is quite the disappointment given that it is largely empty. An amazing story of riches to... More

We didn't get into the house as we spent all our time outside doing the children's trail and having fun with outside activities. The grounds are beautiful and the chapel is lovely too. The hollow tree is fab for hiding in and one of the "50 things to do before you are 11 3/4" that can be crossed off the... More

This is a national trust property we visit often. It is one of our favourites, because there are short walks, longer walks along the water, a variety of places to have a cup of tea and cake and toilets dotted all over the place! It is often busy as you enter, but they always have lots of people to help... More

Brilliant day out , fantastic countryside lovely grounds . My daughter is into photography so she took some amazing shots in the grounds . It was a beautiful sunny day . We looked around the house the guides in the house were very helpful and knowledgable. We initially went to see the modern tapestries that were on exhibition, which very... More

The gardens and outside are stunning, it has so much land. The chapel is beautiful. However, the house itself is falling apart and slowly crumbling away and a lot of the rooms are completely bare or just have remnants of what was there, with one small image of what it did look like or an image from another house altogether... Went here for my birthday and loved every minute of it, gardens lovely, trees awesome, really nice restaurant, can't wait to go back in the autumn to see the trees. Plenty of surprises there too. Visit and you will see for yourself.

There's always something going on at Croome and it's well managed. The House, of course, is empty of its artefacts

Expect the unexpected is their motto and they live up to it. Something for everyone and not your typical National Trust property, what a breath of fresh air
