    The perfect Spa
This is my absolute favourite spa and I am always excited to go back. On this visit I had a full body massage with Ilona and it was the best massage I have ever experienced. Perfect technique and I was so relaxed. I also had a pedicure which was bliss! Loved it - was lovely to be pampered and the nail polish I had was perfect. I do not remember the name of the lady who did my pedicure, however I know she was from Ukraine and next time I am at The Malvern Spa, I shall request both ladies for my treatments. Highly recommend

    Wonderful experience
Well what an absolutely fantastic experience! Our first ,but definitely not our last, visit to this lovely place. We were made to feel so special and welcome from the very start. The whole place was lovely and clean ,rooms were fabulous too and the staff were all so lovely especially Ollie & Ali who couldn’t have made our stay more special and were so friendly. Food and cocktails were delicious and the full body massage was heavenly. All in all very highly recommended 🥰

    Discovery Spa Day
Booked a Discovery Spa for my mom birthday included full access to the spa facilities, smoothie drink, hot/cold beverage and a £15 each allocation to lunch, also was 50 mins each treatment . My mom had a therapist Lena and cannot praise how professional, knowledgable and was pleased with her treatment she received. My therapist was lizh who was amazing and my combo massage was so relaxing and greatly appreciated. Thanks to all the staff who made our spa day experience enjoyable 😄

    Amazing relaxation
Stayed in the hotel for 4 days solo beginning of October 2023. It was so relaxing. Staff are very helpful and professional. Food was lovely, treatments and spa area/facilities were fantastic. It was that good I booked a discovery spa day for myself and four friends to celebrate a birthday in the group while their for two weeks later. They all loved it and we are planning a return trip for a girlie weekend. I had several different treatments over the four days and discovery day and they were all awesome. However I would like to give a big thank you Katelyn who gave the most amazing full body massage on the discovery spa day. Would highly recommend.

Excellent stay & treatments at Malvern Spa
Loved my stay at Malvern Spa. I had a back massage & facial with Jessie. She made me feel very relaxed & was very gentle when she did my back massage as I have a bad back at the moment. Loved the facial too. Would definitely recommend Jessie.

    Relaxed and Happy!
As soon as I walked into the spa a feeling of calm come over me, it's beautifully decorated and the staff themselves seem very happy and relaxed. We had our own spa host who showed us around and explained where everything is. My friend and I both had one hour full body massages and then a delicious lunch before spending time in the hydrotherapy pool (the outdoor section was beautiful in the sunshine) and the sauna. It was disappointing that the steam room wasn't working as I prefer steam rooms to saunas. Highlights of the day include the bramble cocktail, the fact that you can sit by the pool drinking your cocktail and, by far the best thing, the massage. My therapist was Phoebe and I think it may have been the best massage I have ever had. We left feeling very relaxed and happy!

    Birthday presents
My stay was bought as a birthday present plus a full body massage. Warm welcome on arrival. Twin room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. We had a massage booked but somehow the time was mixed up and due to traffic we would not get there in time. This error was dealt with very professionally and thank you Millie for reserving slots for the following day. Also a shout out to Ollie who was always smiling and happy to answer any questions and to another Millie for bringing us our drinks around the pool. Food in the evening was good and being my belated birthday treat my chocolate brownie came with a candle and “happy birthday” being sung by waiter. Breakfast had plenty of choice Full body massage was very relaxing just what I needed after a busy week in work. Would I stay again .. yes I would Location is also good as we popped into Worcester before coming home. I believe there are nice walks in the area should you have a longer stay planned.

    A-Mazing!!!
Wow!! Absolutely amazing spa. From food, staff, treatments, cocktails, overnight accommodation, ambience the whole experience was out of this world! The staff are so attentive and can’t do enough for you. Ollie on front of house was just the best host and epitomises the passion and care that he clearly has for his job. Fi, who served us at dinner, was fabulous. She couldn’t do enough for us and made our experience exceptional. Food is first class as are the cocktails! We will definitely be returning and I would highly recommend visiting

A fabulous couple of days away
Absolutely love this place! Second visit and it lived up to all expectations. A great halfway point for mum and I to meet but also a lovely relaxing break. The staff make this place special. They cannot do enough for you. Without doubt, the wonderful and charming Ollie makes the place shine with his gorgeous smile and always going the extra mile. Anna Maria in the restaurant is lovely and definitely deserves a mention for always trying to make you feel welcome going above and beyond. We had treatments with a lady from Ukraine called Lena who is just the most wonderful therapist and a joy to be around with a beautiful smile . And also Natalie from Russia , who gave me the best massage- she is only there two days a week but if you can book her, I thoroughly recommend. The food is always extra tasty and the atmosphere is fab. The staff clearly love being there and the attention to detail doesn’t go unnoticed. We will return! Thank you to everyone ❤️

Stayed for one night with dinner, breakfast and a treatment. The package was good value for money, the spa is very luxurious with a lovely range of facilities and the facial had my skin glowing. The restaurant has a good atmosphere and a very nice menu, Leah & Caitlin were very attentive and considerate to my dietary requirements and the food was very tasty, I can recommend the seafood linguine and ribeye steak. There was also a gentleman whose name began with S who made some outstanding cocktails.

Set in the the idyllic surroundings of a modern Worcestershire industrial estate The Malvern Spa was draped in luxury comparable to a travel lodge stapled to a top end council run swimming pool.

After ringing persistently throughout the week before with the phone going unanswered I was unsurprisingly disappointed to find all the slots for the treatments I wanted booked up. Still we thought we could relax by the pool, disappointingly we found all the 20ish loungers occupied for hours meaning we couldn’t enjoy the “spa”.

One of our bed sheets had a dried blood stain on it, so we slept on top of our duvet.

My food was good, I recommend the porterhouse steak however my wife’s burger had her throwing up in the night. The service was poor having asked a waitress for salt she forgot and we had to go to the bar to request again and they had the audacity to add service charge to the bill.

Fortunately the dinner bed and breakfast package was a £225 wedding gift voucher from our friends, whilst they were ripped of we are grateful that this experience only cost us a days holiday from work.

Would not recommend.

Hello Jimmy I am very disappointed to read your review. Your experience is certainly not what we expect our customers to have and is most unusual. The spa treatments do get booked up well in advance as they are so popular, I am sorry you could not get the treatment you wanted. The inside pool area has 40 loungers and additional 8 seats. Our spa host attends this area throughout the day and evening and strictly enforces the 30 minute policy if a lounger has been unattended for that time. I am sorry you were unable to enjoy the spa. I am unsure if you spoke to the Duty Manager at the time regarding the sheet and your concerns with the restaurant as we would have happily helped with these at the time for you. Once again I am sorry you did not enjoy your time at The Malvern. Amy Downton, Assistant General Manager

In todays' heavily social- media saturated market it takes an outstanding level of good or bad experience for me to put aside a few moments to share an experience to aid others. Please ignore the bad reviews here. I feel foolish for not visiting sooner given that's its nearby and friends have been banging on about it for years. We usually favour similar establishments further afield, but tired their 'date night' offer with additional treatments at cost.
Yes, if not known I can understand why the location initially might be slight off putting. However, you are not there to stand and look at it form the outside. Once inside it is beautifully light and airy, with an ambience on par with any 5* resort you may have visited. We were met by very friendly staff, given a full tour by one of the spa guides (great to see inclusive employment at work here) and settled in. Towels, robes and slippers were big, clean and fluffy. Changing rooms were immaculate with very clean facilities and easy to use electronic lockers.
After a short wait in the airy atrium and a glass of water we had our treatments. Morgan was friendly, professional and gave a needed firm massage. The fact that she has worked there for several years clearly says something about staff value and retention. I'm told the facial treatment was wonderful. We then spent the late afternoon in the pool area going between the various areas. All clean and working. The outside portion is wonderful, particularly lying on the hydro racks looking up at the clouds. A small army of silent staff cleaned, changed towels, remade loungers and brought us a selection of reasonably priced drinks from the bar. for the extra nosy of you, it was £4.50 a pint or glass of wine. Gym was clean and well equipped with a decent array of regular classes on offer.
Two course supper was excellent, including the vegetarian options.
No, the overall experience is not cheap but you get what you pay for. It's no small wonder they have a long waiting list for hopeful members. It's just got slightly longer.

My boyfriend and I booked a 2 night spa package to celebrate being together for 5 years. We were given a pre-check in form to fill online which was easy and intuitive. Upon arrival we were met by extremely friendly reception staff who walked us through everything and showed us how to use the temperature check.

The spa facilities were fantastic, such a lovely hydrotherapy pool and was excellent later in the evening with the cold fresh air contrasting the comfortably hot water. The loungers were frequently serviced with attendants regularly preparing used loungers and providing fresh towels. It seems, probably due to the pandemic, that the ice fountain was missing which was a shame, but overall extremely relaxing and pleasant.

We had a full body massage each day, I saw the lovely Holly and Katie, with my boyfriend seeing Emily and Isabel. The experience was truly relaxing, relieving a lot of tension and relaxing. All of the therapists were soft-spoken and had their rooms at a perfect temperature. Once we'd had our treatments the therapists then talked us through the products they had used and gave us a little pamphlet of all their products and marked the ones they had used. After trying different massage oils each day we settled on purchasing the Musclease active body oil, and I cannot recommend the Frangipani Monol hair & scalp mask enough! Truly fantastic fragrance and left my hair feeling wonderful!

The restaurant food was well cooked and decent portion sizes, leaving enough room for 2 courses, but a struggle for 3! The bar staff were helpful and knowledgeable, I'd highly recommend a blueberry mint mule from their cocktail menu! We had very little wait for our food and drinks and were given some interesting savoury popcorn to nibble whilst we waited.

For breakfast the experience was similarly efficient, delicious food from the kitchen and friendly staff serving continental foods. I must give a shout out to Beth who was extremely friendly and chatty, recalling and checking on details from the first time we'd spoken. Really made our mornings and set us up happy and excited for the day!

The room itself was nice, and clean. Bed was tidy, and the housekeeping team were friendly and helpful. The toilet paper could do with a bit of an upgrade, but the shower was wonderful. Dedicated air conditioning meant that we could enjoy our room at the right temperature for us and the lamps were able to provide some soft lighting for later in the evening. Whilst there was ample plugs for charging on one side of the bed, the other didn't have any plugs, and the plugs near the console table were a bit far away for my chargers to reach. But overall these minor issues did not detract from the quality of the stay, nor our enjoyment of the package!

We absolutely love this spa and can't wait to come back and see you all again!

I booked a spa package overnight stay which included a double room, full access to spa facilities, a one hour treatment, breakfast and £25 voucher for dinner.
The room was beautifully decorated and very clean, plenty of towels, comfy bed.
The spa facilities are excellent. Two beautiful saunas, a lovely steam room and the hydrotherapy pool is wonderful. It was quite busy during the day, but early in the morning I had some quality time there before breakfast.
I had a full body massage from Morgan. I like a forceful massage that really works my muscles and she honestly gave me one of the best massages I've ever had. She listened to my various body complaints and worked with them. I'd come back just to get another massage!
The food was also good. Huge portions and tasty. I think a better vegetarian breakfast should be offered and perhaps another dinner option for those on low carb diets...like me. I found ways round it though.
Overall, an excellent spa experience I feel. I'd visit again. I didn't give it 5 stars because it is literally built in a business park, so the surroundings aren't pretty. They have done a good job on the design though, so you don't notice so much when you're inside. It's so close to the Malvern hills, I took a walk up there afterwards for some scenery. Reception staff were really helpful and printed me a trail map.
I think it was good value for the overnight break and would recommend.

Returning to The Malvern Spa yesterday after four months was a totally blissful experience. Any hesitance I had regarding safety issues disappeared the moment I entered through the vast sliding doors. Greeted, at distance, by familiar faces of the staff wearing face visors, had my temperature checked, collected a fluffy white robe and towel and entered the spotless changing rooms with distanced spaced locker, I was back...in my sanctuary.
A one way system directed me to the outside pool, a glorious blue with jets on full blast. Loungers are spaced out on the decking and grass area...lots of safe areas to lie in the sun or have a drink poolside...at distance.
My visit coincided with a quiet period, however, with restricted numbers strictly monitored there's ample space to keep apart and keep safe whilst restoring the spirit and aching muscles.
The hotel reopens on 25th July, a perfect place for a mini break without heading to an airport. Although I live locally, I've stayed one or two nights with my three sisters which was a magical experience on each occasion. The outside pool, when lite up at night, reminds me of a private villa pool in the hills above Barcelona rather than right here in middle England!
The restaurant serves delicious food from a well thought out menu and the main light filled lounge area is a lovely calm setting for a romantic cocktail by the twinkling fountain surrounded by olive trees.
A huge thank you to all the staff who've worked so hard to return and reopen this fantastic facility for all the members who've missed this place so much. I'll be back!

I bought a weekend spa evening voucher for my mum for Christmas and we used it in August. When I phoned to book I was surprised to find that ‘weekend’ didn’t include Saturday. I believe this has been changed on the website now but selling something as weekend (and charging extra) and only allowing it to be used on one day of the weekend is misleading. The spa itself was lovely however the evening went downhill when we went to the restaurant for the meal that was included on our voucher. It turned out that the offer being sold on the website in August had changed from the offer I had bought and paid for in December and was clearly written on my voucher. The voucher was still valid so I expected to be given what was written on it not what other people were being sold at a later date! However I was told by two members of staff that I was only entitled to the new offer and when I questioned it they shrugged their shoulders and said it was nothing to do with them as it was a spa deal, not a restaurant deal. The food itself wasn’t great but the real let down was the attitude of the staff.

Dear Guest, Thank you for your latest review. This voucher was purchased in December 2018, and we changed the offerings in April 2019. I am really sorry that your experience was not honoured to what your voucher stated, this should not have been the case at all. The reason for the change in the package is due to the menu being a much wider offering which means it is an enhanced customer experience. I am sorry you did not mention this closer to the time in August as I would have been able to help to resolve this for you. Nikki Scoffin, Spa Manager

I bought a buyagift for my daughter for an overnight spa stay and found this was one of the featured hotels.

I was rather disappointed to find out that to stay on a Saturday night was an extra £25 per person, but as I have no more time off available this year, I booked it anyway.

Our stay was absolutely fantastic, the pool was amazing, although when we checked in at 3, all the beds were taken, mostly empty, but reserved with towels. A bed finally came free at around 5.30, so we stayed for a couple more hours before getting ready for dinner.

Dinner was delicious, the chips are amazing. They made a mistake with my daughters meal which they corrected straight away, and bought out fresh meal (she’d already eaten half of her chips, so I got to eat the rest of her chips)

We were up in the pool nice and early and managed to get ourselves loungers by the pool until we had our treatment, which was a 30 minute back, neck, and shoulder massage.

We left the hotel feeling very relaxed and content and I would definitely recommend to others and hopefully go back. All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.

This review would have had 5 stars had it not been for the extra £50 I had to pay for a Saturday and the lack of loungers/chairs on the Saturday. But other than that, a perfect weekend

Very friendly staff with a relaxing environment.
Me and my partner both had a full body massage which felt amazing in a beautiful environment.
The food is brilliant quality for the price with a wide variety of options to choose from, the same goes for the breakfast.
Unfortunately due to covid restrictions every sauna and steam room has a maximum capacity of 2 people. We found it difficult to actually use these facilities and get use out if them as most of the time as a couple were in there. Hopefully after more restrictions are lifted this will change.
As the evening came round people were gathered outside asking why the fire was not lit. My partner eventually went to speak to reception and she was answered by another staff member saying "why haven't you lit the fire yet its late". The gentleman behind reception rushed off to light the fire only to then tell everyone it had ran out of gas. Apparently this is a regular occurance after the weekend.
He never checked to see if they had any gas in the storage which made us think he was aware of the issue beforehand.
We weren't the only people a bit deflated by hearing this as we found the firepit and the loungers part of the experience. They had already taken in the cushions from the sofas around the fire and the egg chairs so we couldn't even sit in the area to enjoy our drinks.
We ended up speaking to a manager who actually went went check the storage but she later came back to tell us they had actually ran out. She was very apologetic and refunded us our drink which we both appreciated.

Overall the place is gorgeous and you're made to feel very welcome. It's just a shame after a day of relaxation and our massage, they shut down the outdoor area way too early I'm guessing due to the lack of fire. As the gentleman told us this happens regularly maybe it should be logged that more gas is ordered at any one time.

Hello Andy Thank you for sharing your feedback. I am pleased that on the whole you enjoyed your visit and in particular your spa treatments and restaurant experience. The capacity restrictions in the thermal area are for everyone's comfort and safety, following Covid and I am sorry that you didn't get as much use as you had hoped for. The firepit is usually lit each evening. Unfortunately on your visit we had run out of gas and due to national shortages, were unable to get a further supply as quickly as we would have liked. I am sorry the cushions had been removed. We would have been happy to put these back out for you had a request been made. Once again, thank you for sharing your comments and I hope you wil come and see us again. Amy Downton, Assistant General Manager

I had heard nothing but good reviews of the Malvern so I was expecting good things. Unfortunately though, Ive been to many 4 and 5 start spa's and The Malvern didnt live up to expectations. From the start we were told we couldnt check into our rooms until 3pm but as part of our package we had access to the spa from midday, however we werent given any access cards to the spa. We had a little lunch in the restaurant which we felt was quite expensive, nearly £10 for a sandwich! Although I would say that this was very nice. We had to go back to reception to collect our towels and robes and were again asked if we had checked in, I dont understand why we were asked this again as it wasnt 3pm yet and staff know you cant check in until 3pm. We changed and both had lovely treatments which were very well priced and carried out. Howvere, afterwards I tried to get into the spa and couldnt. When I asked staff, they said that I needed a pass. But why werent we given this when we arrived. When eventually gained access to the spa, I was dissapointed to see that there werent any free sun loungers and I had to hang around and wait for one. The remaining three of my party also had a bit of hassle getting them too. So on this point I feel that more consideration should be given to how many bookings you allow for the spa. I appreciate that members have access but oversubscribing causes disapointment to those whove never been before and are then unlikely to return as a result. I didnt feel that the spa facilities were that good either really, there were a limited number of types of spa. Both pools are lovely and warm and clean but the jets from the jacuzzi are so powerful you cant sit by them as they blast you about and splash over your face way mnore than a jacuzzi should. The table service is a really good idea and fairly quick service too but when we saw the cocktails which we ordered at £10, we were horrified! They were the tiniest measures Ive ever seen and were barely 200mls. Way way overpriced!! Sadly the whole experience at The Malvern was dissapointing; a very disjointed entry and check in process, I lost count of the amount of times we were asked if we'd checked and filled in the forms, getting staff to communicate between the hotel check in and spa check is disjointed, rediculously overpriced food and drinks, very slow service in the restaurant on both occasions and certainly not the best spa facilitiues Ive seen.

Hello Thank you for taking the time to post your review and share your feedback. I am sorry to learn of your disappointment with your visit. As you mention, our reviews are usually livery complimentary about all aspects of the spa and so I am surprised you were disappointed. You should have been provided with a spa access card with towels and robes from midday when you arrived. I understand the towels and robes were to be collected once you had eaten your lunch rather than carry them with you. However, I am sorry the cards were not provided for you, this is clearly an oversight. It is a shame you did not enjoy your visit on this occasion. Amy Downton, General manager
